The Grand Tour

Yes there is that, and early episodes did feel exactly like that which was great, the latest though just felt entirely prepped out and not the authentic japes the series once was. That's what I mean. It just feels like now they are acting, rather than them actually appearing to have fun and letting things happen. Even the camerawork is accomodating to this notion, May's crash for example it was obvious.

Is it because they are much older now and need to take more rigid caution? Maybe...
But... they've been like that since top gear series 13 onwards, actually even before

However, I do not believe May's recent crash to have been scripted.

@Malevolence - could you use spoiler tags please, I like to be surprised by their cars during the episodes themselves :)

It's like a TV series that has gone on for a few too many seasons and the jokes have become predictable. Some funny moments but only because it's them three. In previous episodes I would watch eagerly, I watched this one because there was nothing else on that night and it was bed time not long after.

I feel they should have just quit whilst they were on top of the hill. The best way to retire. Ok James' travelling shows are pretty excellent, but he's good at that stuff and it suits the character.

Agreed. its stale and even the jokes arent funny anymore. James May travelling shows are hilarious and I love Jeremey in his farming show. Hamster I always could take or leave so havent seen any of his solo shows, he annoys me too much.

Smallest COG is good, mainly for the chaps he is working with though.

Clarkson strikes again, I love the Grand Tour too.

Edit: This means that the notorious “Top Gear” presenter likely won’t be appearing in any new shows on Prime Video beyond 2024 (though there’s every chance a final “Grand Tour” episode could carry over into 2025).

That's alright then.

Can’t say I’m too surprised. It’ll be a shame but it’s mostly run it’s course now.

Yeah, there's not a lot of freshness to any of it any more. I'm sure he'll land something somewhere in the future, but perhaps doing something a bit different.

Not fussed about GT but I enjoyed Clarksons farm so it'll be a shame if that goes

Two more series to come. That'll do, I think.
