They'd better buy some more players to make up for it!
Incredible. So despite losing the original case re jurisdiction, Leicester won their appeal on the basis that because their accounting period ended on the 30th June and they were relegated before this date, they weren't subject to PL rules anymore. Who knows what this means for their probable breach for 23/24 now.
It has nothing to do with the FA (it would be the EFL) but yes, having two separate competition organisers, with different rules and no formal arrangement between the two certainly causes issues. Leicester already pulled the "we're neither a PL or EFL club" trick last season when refusing to submit a business plan to the EFL too.Escape on a technicality, if only we interpreted the spirit of the law rather than the letter. Although maybe if the greedy clubs hadn’t formed the premier league outside FA jurisdiction in the first place this mess could have been avoided by all leagues being under the same authority? Maybe when you cynically break away from the games ruling body you eventually reap what you sow?
Yea I'd imagine for PSR purposes the PL will want to have a set accounting period of 1st June to 31st May. Whether they can get 14+ clubs to agree to this is another matter of course.I'd expect to see a revision to the rules that define more specific accounting dates related to dates of processing relegations etc. now anyway
Based on their season so far I doubt if it will even matter.Watch the meltdown when Everton get a deduction in a few months
Hey, you leave them big obviously corrupt clubs alone!Did we expect any other result? It’s just straight up comical at this stage.
City’s case about 1st party sponsorship should start to get leaked soon!!
The Sky6 want a bigger slice of the pie, maybe they should pay a bigger portion of the costs as wellYou do realise that means Newcastle paid 1/20th of it instead @Bigpig?
