Clicked on the thread, while it was loading thought "oh hang on, America-based chap with a GTR, wasn't this just a Fiat 500?" ... but pleasantly surprised indeed!
Black is definitely a good colour for it too (though personally I prefer the orange)

My wife asks me the same question.
It's a 2011 with 500 miles on it but it has all the updates that the new one has, including the power upgrade.
Absolutely and I still drive the Fiat every day

I haven't driven a spyder myself yet either, should be a great car though.
This one has all the updates and yes the transmission is improved. It's very very good when you're on it as you said but it can feel a little sluggish in city driving. Still very good however, just not the same as when it's pedal to the floor.
Does it have the recent factory mods/remap?
Yes it does.
A matter of personal opinion really. I respect the R34 immensely but I don't feel that it's more "special" than the R35.

I'm glad someone other than my wife is keeping count. I had another one too but we won't go there, it only stayed here for a week - was a nice new Cayenne GTS.
I did have a red GT-R, traded it against the new white one about 3 weeks ago. Boxster is the wife's, it wont be going anywhere any time soon.

Says the guy who traded in a GT-R for another GT-R. - I loved my GTR and the warranty was almost up.
Bought a new Boxter. - My wife deserves it
Bought a $25k Fiat to save fuel. - Leased it for less than the amount I save in fuel per week. The car pays ME to own it!
Bought some V8 monster truck to move stuff. - Was actually very necessary and the job I used it for paid for itself many times over.
Bought a McLaren MP4-12C just because?
