The GTR is dead! Long live the cryptolambo!

@kindai Just hit me thatTopic should say Cryptorghini :D

@Gibbo I think its cause it's soft top that makes You feel speed more. I love cars that FEEL fast and are not fast. At lest can survive crash at sensible speed when car needs to go fast to be fast and You crash there is nothing left.

Besides that Lambo looks faster Standing FACT :D

Needed a clean, again, Autobrite Magifoam > Dwell 20 mins > Power wash off.

Don’t know how anyone can get away with just snow foaming a car then leaving it without doing a proper wash.

I’ve tried it and just end up with water spots and streaks everywhere and the car still has a thin film of dirt over it.

Good snow foam with a long dwell, a non asthmatic pressure washer and 0ppm filtered water :)

You'll get a spot free finish by simply running an open hose over the car after the pressure rinse. No need for filters or any other magic nonsense :)

Hey all! So @ScoobyDoo69 lent me some GoPros, so have been playing with getting a good setup. Nearly there! The problem with this car is 1) Wind noise and 2) Loud. So while I have now worked out where to stick mics to avoid the wind noise, need to quieten them down slightly so at high revs it doesnt get that horrible horrible too loud for the mic distortion.

Anyway for now, start up and drive off video. Though it doesnt show me coming back to pick the camera up and stick it in the car :D

Have you read the thread on PH in the Supercars section with the guy who is rebuilding the 5.0 engine in his Gallardo because at ~110k miles it's burning a lot of oil. Fantastic thread if you haven't seen it.

I'm impressed it gets down (what looks like) a steep curb so well. Especially after seeing some of the supercars they drive on top gear get beached on practically nothing

Actually yes I have! Great reading, and fills me with a lot of confidence that if anything were to break it would be pretty easy to get fixed at less than insane money.

I assume the exhausts are not equal length and they are split directly from the manifold?

The stock manifolds are a bit... "italian"...."special"...

Have spent the morning trying a few mounting positions for the mic. The rear is just so loud it gets mic blowout even with a foam cover and dead cat (warning, ears!)

Front mounting on the center mirror gives a very good approximation of how the car sounds from a drivers point of view. Considering this was a cheap £10 mic im quite tempted to go for a highly recommended one for circa £50 which may result in some cleaner capture. Excuse the radio 1 playing :D

Such a nice sounding engine, couldn't hear the Radio 1 :D

Judging by the revs and what I'll assume was a 30mph road you pulled out onto, I'd keep that camera out of focus ;)
