The GTX 980 Ti owners thread.

Image showing temps from a game of battlefront, 81c max temp which more or less held at 79-80c, fan speed max of 51%, 1380mhz core clock which stabilised to 1367 for 99% of the gameplay, basically the "gaming mode" that the card normally plays games at.

=/

The response from asus was obvious, "contact your reseller", though surprisingly it was typed in proper English which almost knocked me off my chair. What's the point of them having a support system if its always the same response?

Can't you set a custom fan curve? Your card appears normal from what I can see.

unless he's got really really bad case airflow, its not really normal

mine does ~70C at 55% at 1480mhz... his is doing ~80C at 51% at 1380
I don't think I've even ever seen mine do less than 1400 even on stock settings

I would say there is something not quite right with it, though getting them to accept an RMA for it running a bit warm is going to be fun - it would be better to return it to the place you bought it if you still can (look up 1st October 2014 protection from unfair trading regulations - basically if something is misadvertised you have 90 days to return)

I agree with your assessment there, but I fear his chances of RMA are pretty bleak because 80C is within spec.

I'd be interested on what temps the card hits with around 70-80% fan.

People thought the same about skylake and that turned out to be more of a wet fart, the last few intel releases have had a ton of hype and ultimately failed to deliver much. Devils canyon and the 5ghz on air also springs to mind =/

I'm still on an i5-3570K with 8GB system. Each year I think about upgrading but it's easier to just add another 100Hz to the OC and so far I haven't hit a limit but I'm only at 4.4GHz anyway. My 980 ti @ 1440 x 1440 doesn't seem particularly limited either by the CPU.

Man what's going on? a couple of weeks ago mods said they were cracking down yet this is the second thread I've seen here on OCUK today where people are insulting each other and nothing.

The other one is in the CPU section of the forums but still, I really CBA logging in to read through pages of BS.

Sort it out will you. It was actually starting to improve around here (aside from the most hardened of fanboys recommending GTX 960s over Radeon 390s of course).

If people wish to insult me let them get on with it.

I don't think it is my job to report the posts though as I have better things to so.:)

As you have no commitments as you previously stated more power to you, Comes down to 1 thing usually from people, Jealousy because they have commitments elsewhere and can't do what you do.

If I did what you did I'd have a kickass rig but then I wouldn't be flying to Europe 6 times a year on work related business :p

We are doing what we can, but can only react quickly when posts are reported.

There's also a lot more goes on behind the scenes than is immediately apparent :)

Does anyone have the zotac Arctic Storm on here? just wondering on performance. Thinking of getting one for sli. currently running a inno3d ultra on a ek block but was thinking of getting one of these rather then another inno and block. saves a bit of the hassel.
