Lol them CPUs crush the physics test. I've nearly picked one up a few times when ive seen them cheap but i have to keep telling my self...."no!!!! not for gaming", maybe ill start doing something that makes use of 8 cores just so i can have one :)

Thats an impressive video memory speed, did you test out some games so see if its stable? I managed to bench mine at 2100 but as soon as i tried gta i started getting artifacting all over the place :(

Ya results can go down once you hit the power limit, its easy to test ya just lower the clock speeds and check that the score goes down to match. At 110% power limit one of my cards wont do more than about 1500mhz, i had to raise it a little in the bios to get the extra 40 mhz. Im guessing that card is pretty inefficient though as my other card does 1500 easy on a lower power limit.

Cool, guess your good then, must have been something else giving z10 a better result, there are so many variables, windows version, driver version, NVCP settings, background programs etc or maybe just the cpu speed like you said.

im guessing your cpu is the reason for the slightly higher results.
I am not so sure as your physics score is greater than mine and on benchmarking my 4.4 looses out big time when it comes to OC'ed 4790k's or faster CPU's. Unless it is a single thread thing... Not sure. Still very impressed with your clocks though...

Blud, are you on air dude?

I bet grass does not tank you now either :D

I am loving my Ti, very high grass at 60fps x4MSAA win win.

The GTX 980Ti reference cooler version with i7 4790K is kinda finished.
Here is some pictures about the rig.

Better pictures will be taken at the later time. I am just kinda dumb for photographer things.

[email protected] and the GTX 980Ti@1450 mhz.

This rig easily survives GTX 1070 or 1080.

Going to push the CPU to 5 ghz as this chip likes to be OC-ed in this case very much :D The GTX 980Ti shall see 1475 mhz in this case if everything goes right.

BTW. , this is not my rig. It is my latest build.

So I've recently upgraded from my 2500k to a 6700k . So looking to overclock my 980TI Zotac. It's the AMP Edition (not extreme) ZT-90503-10P what core/voltage/memory settings would you recommend I try the card on in afterburner? currently sitting stock

You should be able to get it to 1400 on the core without too much voltage increase. 1500 is an option but you might need some high volts to get that. Your cooler on that card will be a good call though for the heat.

The difference between 1400 and 1500 on the core is hardly noticeable ingame but the heat difference depending on volts, can be 10 degrees cooler.

How about memory? is afterburner the best tool to be overclocking with?

Is this thread still alive? because i have a question:- I have just bought an inno3d GTX 980 ti hybrid black, can i remove the radiator and fan etc to get back to the board and fit a water block. I am asking because i would like to go custom water at some time in the near future. I think a titan block fits but i would like some conformation.
