• Competitor rules

Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.

The GTX 980 Ti owners thread.

I have tried it, but was not getting any screen artifacts.

However, I can't even turn on the OSD, it doesn't show up under the settings section (I assume it should be on the settings area next to the fan curve / interface options? Is it hiding somewhere else?). Also, wow does it crank the fans up faster by default....go from 1500rpm to 2500rpm (drops tempts by about 5C, but gets very noisy).

It's just the OSD that causes issues while playing video, I think I'll just go back to Afterburner, although I found PrecisionX was easier with SLI.

You have to set up a hotkey to turn it on in the OSD menu, then switch on what you want it to show in the Monitoring menu.

I've narrowed my issue down to the FPS and frametime options, with those off I don't have any issues. Weird.

My reference card is boosting to 1400+ and I haven't over clocked it. Is this normal on the box it says much less than that?

Mine looked to the same as Razor. Hovering around 1200. I didn't spend much time on anything though.

Damn thats great mate. I think we have the same cards and mine isnt doing that. Mine is running at around 1190ish.

I dying to slap my block on mine as my case isn't setup for air cooling and these cards can get hot and loud when pushed. I normally give a card a good week on air to see if its not faulty but I think I am going to jump in earlier than that this time around.

Yeah, would like to put my blocks on ASAP, but wondering if shouldn't give them some time, as you say, to see if they ok.

They were running around 83C each and weren't too noisy so sure I can live with them a little longer on air.

Unless people didn't know, it was mentioned that if you initiated payment through Amazon that you weren't added to the queue for the product until stock increased, this has now changed and you earn a place now when you checkout according to support.

To get on the Roll of Honour all you have to do is post a pic with your user name on it of your 980 Ti.

Thanks, I don't suppose anyone has the rough FPS for single 980TI?

I disabled SLI, and same settings 1440p Ultra + all Gameworks features. 47fps on Average with an average boost of 1290Mhz. Some minimums can dip as low as high 20's-low 30's in zones. Although the minimum average seems to be high 30's in most areas.

Once you turn off Gameworks and you get your 60fps average.

Put my Ti's for sale in the MM, can't really justify the outlay due to the little gaming I do. Only bloody bought them as the price was so good!! :D

My 980's will more than suffice

Using the reference cooler I am extremely impressed, using quite an aggressive fan curve however I am at 60c load playing the witches 3 everything ultra (apart from Hairworks of course) at 1920x1080. I reckon I can get this card down to a more quiet fan curve and probably still maintain under 75c. Right now my fan speed is at 72%

Very happy with my purchase, Witcher 3 in a large and busy town surrounded by NPCS I am currently at 77fps.

Thanks for the report, looks like the performance is top notch.

I have managed to achieve an almost silent fan curve and still get under 80c. Mission accomplished, and this is with an overclock of +200mhz on the core. It is idle right now at 28c. Again, this is using reference cooling. An absolute beast of a card.

Looks like EVGA Europe just took delivery of a number of cards, so looking good for UK retailers before the end of the week.

I have switched from SC Reference to SC+ ACX following feedback here.

18th in the queue for a Hybrid. Hope enough are delivered tomorrow.

I was told in the chat that the reason for the ETA of 26th is due to that's when they project that all of the preorders will be cleared.
