The GTX Titan X owners thread.

Having initially cancelled my pre order I'm now thinking of picking one up again but just can't make my mind up so someone please help.

Currently I have a 980 and play at 1440, I like my games to be played with as many bells and whistles as possible and right now that includes Elite Dangerous, Shadows of Mordor, BF4, Dragon Age Inquisition and the upcoming Witcher 3.

Are these cards able to max these games out at 1440 (I'm aware Witcher 3 isn't released yet so nobody can give me an answer on that) or would I be better getting another 980?

I'm reluctant to go SLI due to my sound card and space issues not to mention heat now that we're coming up to summer.

Elite Dangerous (Yes), Shadows of Mordor (Yes), BF4 (Yes) and Dragon Age Inquisition (Yes) easy peasy for 1440p. For Witcher 3 I would suspect good optimization on Nvidia so probably yes aswell.

apart from witcher 3 I have played all those and more fully tanked and it runs great at 1440p

So.....

An impulse purchase on Saturday led to a Gigabyte Titan X being delivered this morning - another retailer still had stock surprisingly (3 at the time and a couple of ASUS too).

My dilemma: put it into my OHs computer as that was the plan for the Gigabyte, or go SLI with my EVGA SC Titan X and leave them on 980 SLI? :D

Both with ROG Swifts so 1440p resolution and no plans to move to 4K in a hurry.

I think the sensible decision is replace the 980 SLI and sell them to recoup some of the outlay on the Titan X.
