The GTX Titan X owners thread.

Can I just ask, why are most people buying 2? Are you all running 4k or what, or have you just gone a bit mad? After testing mine for the last 3 days or so I can confidently say that at 1440p one is perfect and more than sufficient, and especially with Gsync on the Rog Swift.
If you use gsync as the specific reason, it most certainly is not anywhere near perfect at 1440p :)

My EK block and backplate arrive on Wednesday. Only problem is I don't think the backplate is going to fit due to the design of the Asus R5E board - the top mosfets cooler at the back/top - where all your ext connections are - there is only about a 4mm or so gap - so maybe wont be able to use the backplate - will have to wait and see. Is the Titan card a bit thicker than a 980 i.e width? Had a backplate fitted ok to my 980.

Mark
Ps my good clocking 980 is up for sale in the mm

I am running 4k, but also have gone a bit mad.

Glad it was such a simple solution :)

Let us know how the experience compares to 290X Tri-Fire, would be nice to know :)

(personally I'm loving my clocked 980 setup, easily equal to Tri-Fire AND SLI BLOODY WORKS!!! :))

AMD should be ashamed, that one guy in the driver dept is working his ass off but needs help ASAP!!!! :p

No one has mentioned any of the dreaded coil whine yet on the TX. Mine is totally silent apart from a very slight noise at silly high fps (like exiting heaven bench) which is par for the course.

Everyone else good?

Only happens when exiting Heaven bench but that's what happens at 5400 FPS yes five-thousand-four-hundred :D.

Can I run the other screens off the other card? That never worked in crossfire on AMD.

You had to use the top card.

Yes you can, preferrably 1 screen per card or as you have two cards and three screens two on the primary card and one on the other.

On air use a high airflow fan to push air between the cards from the drive bay (your case might actually have a special funnel for reference cards).

Also check your fan profile (stock 22% is really low imo) and don't sandwich the cards if possible leave 1 or 2 spacings.
