The GTX Titan X owners thread.

Yes i do

so do i set it as 30= 30.......60=60.................80=80

Try the stock fan profile 1st and see how you get on. If still not satisfied we can tweek to suit.

Force fan speed update on each period ticked.

Enable user defined software automatic fan control ticked.

thanks guys that's helped a fair bit, but how do i adjust it to stop the temps rising so quickly...........the decrease in noise is about 15%

but i need to get its fan starting earlier, because the fan isn't doing much until it gets too hot.

Move the first block on your fan profile to 50% @ 40 degrees and see if the idle noise is too anoying, if not then move it to 55% @ 40 degrees ect....

Below is how i get 30% fan till it reaches 50 degrees, Mine is not beastly titan x though :)

Click on the Graph and move the fan curve to wherever you want and click ok.

The stock fan curves seem to be out regardless, of which vendor you use, AMD or Nvidia.

i've got it at 60 degrees = 50% ............70= 60%..........80 degrees = 70%

it then holds steady at 84 degrees, which is fine, the 10% less fan speed seems to kill the noise quite a lot, but it's still not OCd yet and it still isn't the summer :eek:

right, this calls for another thread in the Water cooled section, because i need to somehow connect a 240 rad to a waterblock with a built in pump

To get on the Roll of Honour all you have to do is post a pic with your user name on it of your TitanX.

ok on 84 degrees i've got it on 74 % fan speed and it's fine, but i might try and get this down to 70% fan speed.......... Titan X is ok now.......... phew

i love the greed LED on the side, it eases my mid life Crysis ;)

Keep tweaking the fan profile in AB and then save. You'll find a good balance at some point.

yes i am quite shocked about it, it's powerful yes but considering it has no overclock and only at 1080p, it's way too noisy at 84 degrees.

fan is on Auto

Sorry to point out the obvious Mal, but if noise is important to you then you should have waited for the 390X WCE ;)

And 1080p!!!!?????? WTF dude, this isn't 2010!!!! :D :p

You have not posted a pic yet !!!

i've got loads for you tomorrow ! so be careful what you wish for :D:D

right, it's at 70% fan speed for 84 degrees, plus i have sound deadening for the side panels on order, so i'm in a good mood now.............. thanks guys :D

it's slightly less powerful than the 970SLI........... but that was overclocked and this aint, because i cant see any point in OCing it on 1080p only, yet.................. because it's giving me 130fps in Heaven already, so it's a true monster for what is only one GPU

more importantly, it's definitely more powerful than the 7990 ;) by about 10fps......and this is really important to me

Conclusion :-
1.......looks great
2.......is dead level in the pci slot
3...... is extremely powerful
4...... better PQ than 970SLI
5...... is noisy but can be managed
