I sold a 295x2 and I ended up loosing loads of money on it even though it was 3 weeks old

They should last you till you get 4 390xs
The 390 only has 8 GB VRAM max. I'm guessing Kaap is running at least 3x 1440p, for which extra VRAM is going to be most useful, and the TX preview on HardOCP indicates that you can get to 8 GB of VRAM with a single 4K monitor when using high levels of AA anyway.
