Thanks!! Now the slowest part of my pc is the monitor lol. I've got a dell 21:9 ips, but I'm considering changing to g-sync one?

To get on the Roll of Honour all you have to do is post a pic with your user name on it of your TitanX.

Anyone else playing Farcry 4 and getting black screens? Seemed to start off okay, so been playing it for hours over a few days when I first got the card and all was fine, but now after a fairly short amount of time the game is switching from full screen to windowed but maximised and the Window is just black without sound. Have to use task manager to kill it. I'm not seeing any error and had a quick look in the event viewer and cannot find anything related.

Have just tried installing a benchmark app (Valley) and ran that for an hour on ExtremeHD without issue so thinking it's probably driver related and/or the game itself (google search has revealed similar issues using Titan or 980's with FC4).

Will see if I can try another game, possibly FC3 for a while and see how that goes. BIt strange as it was fine for a while.
Noticed there hasn't really been any driver releases since the game ready driver for a game so what we're currently using is the release day drivers?

It's funny you should say that, as I was looking at Acer's 4K G-Sync earlier on today :D

But I've got my eye of Asus Swift Rog 1440p panel too:cool:

I've been following the Acer Predator 1440p IPS thread quite avidly as i was interested in getting one along with a Titan X as a partial upgrade from my 5850 HD and Dell 2001fp (4:3) monitor and then use it in my next build (just waiting for skylake to see what it's like). 1 or 2 people in the thread seem to have decent ones and the rest have awful back light bleed and some have excessive amounts of dead pixels. Needless to say I will be staying well clear of them.

Not saying their G-sync 4K will be terrible but do some research first before spending your hard earned cash.

One titan x for 4k? I thought you need sli minimum for that?

This is a complete myth, mainly spread by people that haven't actually tried it I guess.

I ran 4k initially with my 780 and whilst it wouldn't handle something like Crysis 3, it handled Alien Isolation fine. With G-sync games feel far smoother when dropping to previously unacceptable frame rates.

With a Titan X it's fine, playing GTA 5 now with decent settings (you can check in the bench thread for the exact ones).

Will a single Titan X play every game coming out soon with absolute max settings including AA at 4k? Nope, but it will max out most.

This ^

I'm running a single TX @ 4K dropping a few settings (depending on game) mostly AA though you should be fine.

The performance is comparable to CFX R9-290X or SLI GTX970s without the VRAM limitations + a lot smoother overall performance.

Gsync works with SLI

DSR works with SLI

Gsync and DSR do not currently work with SLI. It is one or the other. Nvidia claim they are working on it, but it doesnt look likely which is a shame as multi gpu's are where DSR really shines, but gsync would be nice to smooth out the minimums and inconsistencies.

ACER Monitors - my warranty hell and why you should NOT buy one

Its not like there was no warning of what to expect over the Acer IPS monitor. Looking closer at it the stand and frame look the same as the CB280HK one.

Anyone else playing Farcry 4 and getting black screens?

Far Cry 4 is broken. Since the 1.10 update it causes the nvidia display driver to crash randomly. I have done loads of reading on it and there is no simple fix. It is really annoying. Check out the nvidia forum or do a google search and you will find plenty of threads about it.

I agree. Mine crashes a lot since 1.10

I have an issue where the game (sometimes) seems to get 'stuck' whilst on the logging in bit. But if you Ctrl, alt, del out you can see it running fine in the windows preview panel on the taskbar. As soon as you click it to go full screen it gets stuck again

Try manually editing the config and switch to border less full screen or turn vsync off, that helped.

Still crashes though.

Hey all,

Having a total nightmare with my new Titan X. I have the EVGA SC version. When playing any number of games I have hangs crashes and even a BSOD (running Windows 8.1 and. my first BSOD.

I had 2 680s previously and was hoping for a nice single card performance boost and all I get is issues. All of the games I'm having issues with were fine before the new card.

I'm running the latest nvidia drivers (I've done multiple reinstall. I've even reinstalled windows including all chipset drivers etc)

The main symptoms are a few minutes of play then a crashed or hung game. Various messages of D3D_DEVICE_HUNG and other similar messages.

Games tried with this issue:

GTA V
Star Citizen
Elite Dangerous
The Golf Club
Perfect Golf
Crysis 3
The Crew
Assassin's Creed Unity

The highest temperate I'm getting is 70 according to afterburner. I've even tried unlocking this to remove the factory SC overclock. This makes no difference.

Totally stumped and nearly ready to RMA this thing.

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated. after spending close to £1000 I'm feeling a bit aggrieved

Also running a decent 850w PSU

David

Have you tried taking out the card blowing in the PCI-E slot and reinstalling the card aswell as the power cables ?

Also try to check if your mobo bios is up to date.
