Saw a plain TX go for 511.99. Didn't look at how old but if an early adoptor, that's not too bad a price TBH given that the new cards are just over two weeks away - one years worth of game play.
Just had alook, yep, the card was just over a year old
Bonkers init, if a 1080 and a titan x were running side by side I'm sure the game would look and play exactly the same
I sold my Asus for £800 got over £700 after fees..
I could see the market judged it well i knew the new card was inbound and it would cause prices drops and panic selling..
I think in say 6 months Titan Xs will still sell for 600+ as there will be not as many for sale on ebay.. be more sort after and once they stop making them then they go up in price
as people who have one card want 2 T-Xs in SLI and cant buy them so will pay more as they will be harder to find
Gfx never hold value once new stuff hits...
"If" a stock 1080 beats a stock TX by 30%+ AND overclocks to 2100mhz on stock cooler I might jump ship, if not I'll buy a second TX and wait for the next Titan.
The way things are going I am going to stop buying new cards wait a year and get them S/H and save a small fortune.
I buy new and pay the premium for the smell of silicon as the hardware comes out the anti static bag
