The GTX Titan X owners thread.

Did this thread die after the 1080?

What drivers are you guys using if there is any one still using a Titan X
im on 365.19 13/05/16
worth updating?

No, it died because there's going to be little activity after more than a year after launch in an owners thread and there is comparatively very few owners of TX cards.

Still enjoying my 3 cards, won't be replacing them until something can beat my Firestrike Ultra by a lot more than the ~500 odd points the 1080 does!

I have a single TX now and have a 1080 on pre order but I'm now considering getting a second TX instead. I'm gaming on an x34 3440x1440 ultra wide and play all the latest games when they come out with gsync a must. Is anyone else using sli with gsync and is there any issues you have to deal with or is it a smooth experience? I like the idea of going for sli but can't be bothered with stuttering or any other problems

No issues with GSYNC + SLI its very smooth.

Also i still have my TX's :D

I don't know why any TX owner would buy a 1080 as its a sidegrade, Wait for the 1080ti/Pascal Titan.

I wouldn't consider it a side grade as my TX isn't overclocked due to not liking the noise from the cooler. An overclocked 1080 with a custom cooler would get me 25% gains which I could do with at this res.

However, I'm going to pick up a second TX instead as that 12gb of vram will be nice

Fair enough, I slapped 2 EVGA hybrid coolers on mine and they run overclocked at 60c max without sounding like an airplane taking off.

The stock coolers really suck for temps/noise.

I will be getting the 1080 but my main gaming PC will still be the TitanX one.

12gb of VRAM & 4 way SLI

vs

8gb of VRAM & no SLI support

No contest.

I do hope that NVidia get mGPU support for Pascal sorted as it does leave the door open for AMD and Vega.

So after selling my 2 TX's, buying a 980 then buying 1 TX, then another TX again. I've now bought a 4K 40 inch Seiki monitor.

Loving 4K, I was worried the TX SLI wouldn't hack it. I was wrong

I'm glad I came back.

Sidenote: How much are the original Swifts going for on the MM? £350?

If Titans werent holding their value so well I'd stick another in my machine or even go 4 way sli. Might have to scour the used ads somewhere and see what comes up.
My mate with his sli 1080s is having a benchmark battle with me at the moment!
