What graphics card are you running DMC4 on? The graphics look spectacular, it looks like some effort has been put into a console to PC port for the first time ever! :D

I know I should be ashamed of myself, but I have never given First person shooters much time. Anyhow, I was bored and downloaded the COD4 demo. A lot going on for a newbie, but I actually found it enjoyable. I think I may actually get the full game.

Some demo screens taken using the ingame function:

really? I liked that level (well the defense part ) a lot

Try dling a full copy from the usual sites, and trying a few other levels should push you over the edge into a purchase :D

The engine has been highly optimised, you can hardly tell its a port. Runs smooth on my X1900XT at 1680x1050/max details/2xAA. Its a good idea to use a pad though.

Freakin Spies.

Great pic :)

I really need to get TF2, im a big CS:S fan, do you think i would like it? I think whats put me off up to this point is that its apparently unrealistic. I like CSS as shots do maximum damage. Is TF2 like UT where you have to shoot your opponent countless times for them to die?

Yes. however, everyone else has to shoot you countless times before you die.

Then again, there are ways :) Pyro, for example, can roast someone pretty fast. A well aimed rocket will explode someone.. and demoman... well, lets just say 8 stickybombs will dispatch like 12 people at once (if, for some reason, they're all runnign next to each other)

It's incredibly unrealistic - teleports, rocket jumps, invisibilty cloaks, healing guns, invincibility, double jumps, yadda yadda..

All which make it incredibly awesome :p

Shamikebab I notice one character features in quite a lot of your shots, considering how much she's in the game that is

I know, i cant help it :D

psychas do they bounce if yes its worth geting it

Yep, they do bounce  they must have spent ages on this lol

Kinda, it's important to understand the class system though. Where as UT involves a lot of bunny hoping and amazing reflexes, simply understanding your role is paramount in this game. The reason I made that shot above is because engineers (the guy in front with a yellow glove on) can make lethal sentries that are quite hard to dispatch, because it's very likely that if you can see an enemies sentry you're about to die. A spy however can approach you disguised as someone on your team, the sentries wont attack because they don't know any better and unless you don't think they are suspicious (or are using your name) they will attach a sapper to deactivate and eventually destroy your sentries, while your trying your best to get the sappers off he'll come out of his disguise and stab you in the back, literally.

Medics often work with Heavies because they have a lot of health and are devastating with the minigun (but are slow). Medics obviously heal and will eventually get an "uber charage", making you and your healer invincible. Pyros burn people (duh) but they continue burning even if they escape, sometimes you are still getting kills after you have been killed (spies also hate Pyros). Demonmen can shoot grenades and also lethal sticky bombs to detonate whenever, making for some dangerous traps. They are also quite good for taking out sentries of you're good enough, as the nades arch over walls and make short work of them, this is not often possible though.

Not gonna go through all of them, but you get the idea. Buy it!

Was quite surpirsed with pc gamers review of DMC4 they accused it of being a poor port. I wonder if they were playing the same game?

Graphics and performance wise, the port is perfect imho, no glitches or stability issues, just smooth gameplay.

The menus aren't perfect and seem slightly cluttered in parts, but unless your'e a complete retard, it shouldn't be an issue.
