The High-Res Screenshot Thread!

I can never understand how people can play some console games. I remember GTA vice city having the worst draw distance ever and chugging down to about 10fps when a few explosions were going off.

Sure consoles are better for some games like fighting and racing but leave fps to the pc where they belong along with strategy
 
when i played crysis at release on a 8600gts i played on medium settings. about 30 fps...definatly playable. i think because crysis isnt like half life or counter strike. its a much slower fps. i mean you can take time to plan what to do etc.
 
Anything under 30fps is not playable for me in Crymark07, just like in COD4 anything under 40 or 50 aint playable as it feels much lower.

for me cod 4 is a different game. more fast past, you need quick reactions and think on the spot. where as crysis you can go invisible , retreat, re think your attack though i dont ive ever done that before.
 
Minimum or consistent fps is more relevant then 100fps. I played crysis on a 8600gts as well and it was ok but not perfect, needed a custom config to run high. If you spent a few hundred on a card then enjoy the benefits but mostly its fine on much cheaper imo

for me in grid if fps below 60 it shuters a bit. but i get 45 fps for 10 seconds in that 24 hours lemoan race :D at night usualy around 80 90
 
Is that crysis running any mods? What kinda FPS are you getting with that?

I really need to upgrade my computer :o
