I have a 896MB card yes and have not upped anything via the shortcut flags - FYI though the view distance scale only changes some objects ingame from slider 100% to say 50% - I tried it, it makes little difference to the overall visual presentation that you actually notice, you do it and see for yourself but yeah some skyscraper window lights/details come out a bit better but they're never in focus anyway anyway!
