Yes to both questions and of the love of all things holy don't do it!

Cereal tho - it's ok if you want to do the MMO thing with your 'mates' that you've met online but otherwise it's an entirely shallow and vapid experience with no single player merit whatsoever.

It felt like a single player game with a chat room attached. You might as well play X3 and have messenger on at the same time lol

I tried the free trial and it's pure number crunching, possibly the most boring 'game' I've ever played.

Depends what your into...PvP is the core of Eve there are other areas like trading, missions (PvE), research, production etc etc but PvP is the core element.

Someone mentioned stream offers a 21 day trail...the eveonline website also has a trial but its only 14days. Imo 14 days nor 21 days is enough to get a feel for the game...takes a couple of months to 'find your feet' and it is a steep learning curve but they have far better tutorials now in game than what I had at the beginning of 05

^ I really enjoyed the side missions in call of juarez, wish there was more of them tbh.

Parts of the free roaming areas are stunning.
