The High-Res Screenshot Thread!

Well yes but there's not much difference between DX10 and DX9 for thos eof us not on DX11 hardware.

Really? I thought DX11 was just DX10 + a little added tesselation in flags & the faster HBAO rendering path... the majority of the IQ improvements come from DX10, not 11...

I have a laptop with Core 2 Duo T6500 cpu & Ati 4670 gpu, how would BC2 run on this? Thinking of buying it after the disappointment of CodMW2 (which runs fine btw).

Depends what your definition of fine is... if you're happy with the performance you get in MW2 on that rig - I can't imagine you would complain at the BC2 performance...

What are people's opinions on Metro 2033? The graphics look awesome but I'm not one for jumpy/scary games :P IMO i think it would be a more FPS based version of FO3

Through a bit of seraching, I found a neat little trick to bump FPS in this game... enabling v-sync in the cfg file...

Yes, it normally hinders fps... but in this instance... Metro 2033 apparently has the various 3D elements enabled by default, which can't be switched off... enabling v-sync disables this & it gave me an extra 20fps (almost double)... It was running about 20-30fps average with DX11 + tesselation (no DX11 DoF)... now it's running 40-50 average... much more playable :)

Do these screenshots of Metro 2033 not do it justice? because everyone has been saying its looks amazing, but imo those screenshots dated to me, I'd compare them with half life 2.

I have to agree with you, maybe you have to see the lighting in action but from what i see there are far better looking games out there.

I find the game rather dull looking but maybe thats the point :p Never been a fan of dark games.

The only thing thats impressed me from the screenshot at least was the lighter shots
