'Misery' mod for Stalker : Call of Pripyat.
I'm usually someone that finds playing on master difficulty not a problem at all, but this is a nightmare so far. I would say it's the most impressive mod that I've yet seen for Stalker, though I may have to drop down the difficulty as my character's need for food is insane.
I'll upload some more later as tinypic is running poorly atm.

Is it set in Winter/Autumn arc? Looks like they fixed the terrible default FOV too which is a good thing. Never heard of this mod, have they added anything new like levels or anything?

I think they may have used this 'look', e.g. the bare trees and fog, since this mod in particular is designed to be tough, and convey a sense of doom and despair.
The FOV is implemented very well in that you actually get a choice. Iirc, 55 is default (4:3), and 16:9 (1080p or above) seem to do well with 83 and over. Although I play at 1200p, I still decided to try out 83, and as I'm happy with it I'll probably leave it as it is (FOV is something I very rarely have issues with).
I'm not fully sure how much is different about the game play, but I get the impression that it changes some things. For instance, you start off by choosing one of three characters. Each one begins with different equipment, load capacity, sprinting speed, etc. I chose 'recon'. I think for greater game mechanic changes you'd probably find the SGM mod even more pronounced in this regard, though I've yet to play that. Kept them small, I know everyone loves planes..
I don't care for the passenger stuff that you see lots of when you're checking into an airport, but the Me262, P-51 Mustang and Bf109 are interesting. So would stuff like the SR-71 Blackbird.
Amuses me (because I'm sad) that the pilots of the Me262 and P-51 are both wearing American infantry helmets. Bf109 pilot looks like he's wearing a German paratrooper helmet?

you should have a go with the technic pack. makes the more mundane tasks, like flattening an area, a billion times easier.
imagine how long this would take in vanilla minecraft:
if you're wondering, the orange framework is a quarry, and the purple blobs are chunk loading blocks. the chunk loading blocks keep whatever chunks they are in and some adjacent chunks loaded no matter where you are in the world, which makes sure the quarry kept going while i was miles away from it

I love it, its well worth a play, definitely recommend it !!!
