The High-Res Screenshot Thread!

Not completely sure what settings each relates to above as the games doesn't use a simple list format but I'm using the following DayZ/arma 2 settings.

Texture Detail - Very High (Because I can with 2GB)
Terrain Detail - Very High (Because I want to :))
Post Process - Low (sharper image and more fps/ so prefer low)
Video Memory - Default (this was it can use more than 1GB memory)
Object detail - Medium (big fps hit and only minor improvement going higher)
Interface Size - Very small or normal (apparently helps with compass degrees)
Anisotropic Filtering - High (good enough)
Shadow Detail - High (good enough / fps)
Aspect ratio - custom (16:10 1920x1200)
Antialiasing - High (good enough)
HDR Quality - High (good enough / fps)

I played around a bit initially but found the mentioned settings to provide a good mix quality/performance given my hardware

It took me ages writing out the above before realising we're on the screenshot thread and I could have just posted an image :o

No idea mate, i've been following the mod closely for a while and they're pretty much re-doing everything from scratch, not given an ETA either so I think it'll be a while yet. :(

Well those shots make it worth waiting for. :)

I'm enjoying People Soup atm, though I'm finding it one of the buggiest mods so far. I'm trying to get to the radar area, and when you get to the end of the road where the level loads, there is nothing...literally. :( I'll try again later.

Mine works fine, have you been updating it from the website or their MoDDb page? The latest patch is 1.0.9.9.1 from the 13th of this moth. It gets updated often and with every patch I notice a slight performance increase.

This is ‘Little White Bag’ (winter version) island/map for Arma2, it’s a mod map, there is also a summer version (no snow). The ‘Hunter’ 4x4 is also a mod, nice for looking around.

I'll check later to see what the last patch # I installed was. :)

Turns out I had the last but one patch, so the latest (13th July), I didn't have. Thanks. I'll update now, and hopefully that will iron out the teething troubles. :)

I have to agree arma looks really bad graphics wise whys it get so much love in screen shots must look better in game or something :P

The art style is interesting and realistic, but the technical side is lacking a hell of a lot I agree, it looks even worse in game.
