The High-Res Screenshot Thread!

In exchange for you no longer consuming oxygen, I'll happily oblige, sound like a deal?

No thanks. I'll happily still consume oxygen and admire some good looking screenshots in this thread.

Also weren't you the guy saying piracy does more for games companies than selling them 2nd hand?

Nice double post, maybe you should buy Skyrim to backup your claims of ever modding it, maybe try some of your own.

Better yet, get off my back and go do something with your life. You're horrifically pathetic.

I have Skyrim already thanks. If you could actually read you would have seen that earlier. I'm not on your back I just dont think your screenshots are anywhere near as good as most of the others in this thread. No need to get personal now calling people horrible and pathetic :p

You don't own Skyrim, remember it is Steamworks...

The thing is, you've needlessly criticized everything I've posted, you've took shots at everything you possibly could and tried your hardest to bait some kind of reaction out of me, despite the fact I've never spoken to you outside of this topic, your worse than FrenchToast or whatever his name is.

The way you've interacted with me is pathetic, the (most probably) large amount of time you've spent wording your posts, trying to bait a reaction out of me could have been spent on something much more productive.

Props to you on backing out before things got too heated, though.

Lets try posting some screenshots in this thread;)

Bulletstorm-

I am undecided on how I think the game;looks tbh. Sometimes I think it looks great, and then you catch a glimpse of a texture close-up that doesn't look right, or the background just seems a bit too 'painted'. It does generally look great, and run great though. I am really enjoying the game.

This is a truly great sequence btw

Yes, 1280x720 or above is high resolution, regardless of what 1080p elitists might suggest. If you can find a point where I even remotely provoked the reaction I got in this thread, I'd be impressed. Infact if you could find a single case of me provoking anyone on this site, I'd be even more so... Yet I'm sitting on 2 suspensions and 2 infractions. ;)

Anyway, seeing as you have the rig to boss some Metro 2033, get more up! Its refreshing to see a game that doesn't require more effort than a Morman marriage to get looking good.

Pig, if that's vanilla, I'm impressed!

It is. I don't think you can mod Bulletstorm.

It is a cracking little game actually.

Every game can be modded, even if its just post-process, you can enforce all sorts on any game you want, it is a cool little game, shame it fell a little under the radar though, despite being Epic's new pet project. Weird.

Exactly what I'm getting! What is your FPS on 2033? Most demanding game on 1920x1080 iirc.

Omaeka, either my monitors colours are completely buggered (Dell U2311H stock settings @ 50% brightness), or there's something majorly wrong with your Skyrim screenshots - they look awful. The lighting is way too bright, colours are very dull and there seems to huge amounts of blurring going, much worse than the default FXAA the game uses.

I play Skyrim completely stock, maxed out and it looks better.

Please don't start...

I didn't notice the blurring until you pointed it out, the thing is though, the way I've got it looking is maximum realism. When you go out on a hot summers day, what does it look like? Is it an orange hued, oversaturated mess with a strange grey tint like your eyes have turned into sunglasses, or does it give everything a crazy white tint, shrouding the distance in heat raze? Bare in mind, every screenshot was taken at the brightest, sunniest point in the day, the game is a treat at night, and again, very realistic.

It depends what your looking for, a fantasy look that is an oversaturated orange mess, or something closer to reality, while maintaining the original color style of Skyrim (the region, not the game).

Feel free, though, to upload and post your own, lets see how the flat dullness and monotone coloring of the 'stock' game holds up.

If it's to your preference, then fair enough. Many games which I consider to be graphically impressive, aren't very realistic looking at all. But the thing is, your screenshots don't look realistic at all. The excessive bloom and orange tint is what you'd see through a cheap camera or using one of those stupid filters hipsters like to use on all their photos. It's certainly not what I see through my eyes, or when looking at professionally shot photos.

Some of Proto's earlier modded Skyrim photos look very impressive though, the colours are far more realistic. I don't think there's any point in me posting my Skyrim screenshots as they are totally stock, with only the official high res texture pack installed and in game FXAA enabled (yes it reduces detail, but it makes image look far more natural). That said, I'll post some later anyway.

My shots are not orange or grey coloured? I think they look MUCH more real than your over bright scenes, remember, Skyrim is cold and grey and very much overcast skies...

Yeah Omaeka so I was just trying to get a reaction yet 2 or 3 others agree with me? Stop taking what I say as being a troll and try taking some criticism or go back to telling people piracy is better for games developers than selling 2nd hand.
