The High-Res Screenshot Thread!

Only that cloth really, other cloths/drapes/flags around the game react interactively. The cloth covering the vehicle in my gif will always fall/move the same way in that segment as the movement is pre-calculated as mentioned above :)

That doesn't mean it's not an fps killer though because the framerate halves. At 2560x1440 I'm pulling around 60fps in most other areas with advanced PhysX enabled, in that segment it was in the low 30s! It's all the particle effects floating around that bit in lighting, smoke and shadows - Those are all realtime.

Thanks. :)

Street Fighter IV, Fei's Ultra nearly bought a tear to my eye. :p

30fps at 720p?

Does look good, though.

That is just the fps cap that ENB does....can't be bothered to change it, as it is hardly a fast-paced game. No doubt it could go higher, as it never dips. I might remove it later to see.

EDIT- Actually it is the stutter remover that caps the FPS, and I have upped it to 40, and it is now a constant 40fps. Not bothered about any higher, and I don't really know how the stutter remover works tbh, so that might be a part of it.

I think the stutter remover just flushes the cells constantly as you move around to stop it hogging so much memory remembering where all the corpses/items are around the map.

Say, do you have any issues at the eastern center of the map near Lamplight? My game constantly CTD's whenever I'm anywhere near that place, even without any mods.

Lamplight is in Fallout 3;)... Not played that in ages, but sounds like a classic Bethesda vanilla bug. I played Skyrim not long ago, got it all modded up running perfectly, then got smacked in the face by a vanilla bug which made the game ctd whenever you approach Karthspire(you need to to progress the story). Broke the save and I had to start again! ... I was all geared up to investigate which mod was causing it, then it turned out to be in the vanilla game:rolleyes:

I really want to try the Fallout 3 ENB but the game is unstable enough as it is already and I daren't use it in case it ****s my gamesave up or worse. :(

Just started The Pitt, amazing so far.

honestly I think the geometry in New Vegas is hideous.

I agree, but it's something you can get used to so that you barely notice.

^^ENBs add post-processing. They do not interact with anything in the game, and can't mess up anything. If you don't like it, just delete the files with no consequences.

I really liked The Pitt as well, though I didn't like the really(imo) but heavy handed ending. I think I liked Anchorage the most out of the FO3 dlc tbh, though most people rate it as the worst!

Searchlight, the place with all the late NCR troopers who are zombified. :p That place, cannot go near it under any circumstance. It did it to me when I had a fx4100 and a Radeon 6850 and it does it to me now I have a 3570k and GTX670 so when people say they don't get the issue it's pretty confusing. It can't be a hardware issue, but must be an O.S. issue. Yet, most people on Windows 7 claim they don't have the problem so meh. Same with Fallout 3 like you mentioned, I cannot under any circumstance play that game, it will CTD after 20 minutes maximum, regardless of what I'm doing or where. I can stand inside a small 'house' and after 20 minutes it'll die. Again, it's done that on every hardware configuration I've had, and the only thing I can put it down to is Windows 7... again...

It seems pretty extreme but IMO Bethesda should be taken to court and forced to fix New Vegas and especially Fallout 3 on PC, because so many people get CTD's even on vanilla, it's pretty disgraceful. It isn't fit for sale IMO. I think they patched Fallout 3 once on PC up to the latest, most likely ported the entirety of the patch from consoles like the rest of the game and put a band-aid on it and the ugly wound of bad porting keeps rearing it's ugly head. Time after time the game just breaks. Never had it this bad with Skyrim/Oblivion and have never once had a single issue with Morrowind. When Bethesda started concentrating on consoles their PC side of things got a completely f'd up the A. Shame really as PC was the platform that rocketed them to success. Sellouts. :p

Fallout. The best videogame series in the history of anything ever. Period.

Such a shame that Fallout 3 doesn't like to work properly on PC most of the time :(

I think Fallout 3 must be one of the buggiest games I've run on my PC. I always seemed to get lots of crashes / save issues around Rivet City when I played:confused:

New Vegas on the other hand didn't give me any hassle at all.
