The High-Res Screenshot Thread!

New Vegas on the other hand didn't give me any hassle at all.

Same here. Had 1 vanilla bug in hundreds of hours of gameplay, and that happened less than an hour in to a game(Half of the residents of Goodsprings decided to trek to Black Mountain!). NV is the most stable Bethesda game for me, and I am amazed how you can keep throwing mods at it, and it just eats them up. Don't think I've ever had a CTD...this is more to do with the quality of mods created though imo, which was at its highest in NV.

Lamplight is in Fallout 3;)... Not played that in ages, but sounds like a classic Bethesda vanilla bug. I played Skyrim not long ago, got it all modded up running perfectly, then got smacked in the face by a vanilla bug which made the game ctd whenever you approach Karthspire(you need to to progress the story). Broke the save and I had to start again! ... I was all geared up to investigate which mod was causing it, then it turned out to be in the vanilla game:rolleyes:

I had this bug in skyrim and ended up uninstalling out of frustration. Thought it was my mods conflicting/breaking until reading this just now. It's even worse that it's a vanilla bug.

Fallout 3 has a problem running on PC's with more than two cores.

You have to open up the configuration file, find the entry 'bUseThreadedAI' change the value from 0 to 1, and then enter the line 'iNumHWThreads = 2' after it, and it should eliminate at least some of the issues.

Everyone knows about this 'fix' :p and it does jack **** though. No need to support their older titles huh, no need to make it actually work on modern hardware. I honestly think GOG need to try and get their hands on Fallout 3 and New Vegas and get em to work properly, clearly very outdated games that were made to run on DOS.

Just re-loaded FO3 on my comp, I got confused over which the new Brazil mod would tag onto (New Vegas, dummy..). Happy to say FO3 is running like clockwork so far.

What are the driving physics like in Grid 2? Is it aimed a realism, or aimed at unrealistic but pretty fun like Shift 2? (never played the first one so I dont know what direction codemasters take)

Driving physics feel very similar to the Dirt series.

Definitely more a fun pick up and play racer rather than a realistic sim.

I'd say even more 'arcadey' than the Dirt series (Although closer to Showdown).

An example would be you can actually go around a corner faster by drifting than taking a racing line, something which is really getting on my nerves as I've never been one to drift whenever possible.

Doesn't really sound like my kind of racing game then... But i'll give it a go with the sim wheel for a bit of fun I spose :D

Graphics and content look good. It's a shame you can't select different levels of realism... Would be nice if there was a big toggle switch in game settings for 'simulation' and 'normal' :p

Coming to the final conclusion in Metro.

Astonishing amount of detail and the use of lighting and atmospheric effects to give a sense of being there. First time in any game to date I've felt like I was playing a Hollywood movie.
