Been flying around in DCS lately, such a tough SIM to get a grip with. Very rewarding when you do though.. Using an extreme view distance mod as well as another couple.

I recommend this single player campaign for the A-10C, it will ease you in, whlie letting you have fun at the same time, plus its voiced over by pro actors and has pretty good atmosphere, the best campaign for A10 imho. The only "problem" with it is that you will hijack the a-10 from Georgia as a Ruski pilot and will fly it against the Georgians all the way through, but it is very well done.
