Stay crouched in the wooded areas and dont run, only use the roads for running, but stop every 20ish seconds, have a look around and listen, then move on, then do a stint of walking and repeat, But in the woods only crouch and walk and stop very often and have a slow look around is the key.
 
Is anyone still playing this?

I played the limited free version for a few weeks earlier in the year and quite enjoyed it. So much so, that I considered upgrading my account. Then life got in the way, and gaming had to take a back seat. At the moment, I'm in the process of getting a new GPU (this one is failing), and I'd quite like to get back into playing The Hunter when I do....

So have there been any major improvements/additions etc in the past 9 months or so? Those of you paying a subscription, has it been worth it? Or did you eventually get tired of it? Is there still a decent following for it?

All feedback welcome!
 
I was a Warden for ages but got a bit bored. I still renewed my license every three months as I was happy to give them some money to develop the game. Sadly I let my Warden license expire by accident and not been back since.

I did try a few weeks back but for some unknown reason, the game wants to totally download itself again every time I fire it up.

The new island is pretty cool so if you have not played it for a while, it is definitely worth a try again.

Will try a full reinstall of it tomorrow. :)

I think I heard about some major server meltdown or something recently, so unless your disconnections are related to that...?

Was just browsing the site there, and read that moose and bear will soon be available! Me likey that!
 
Yeah finally got on, doesnt like googlemail.com but ok with gmail.com, looks good though, downloading now! I used to do a lot of hunting, bet i suck at this though lol.

Yeh on the free one at the moment, on the forum there are lots of people with the same issue, it seems to be server overload according to a member of the team.

Got my first kill anyway:eek:
