I'm enjoying this. All I have bought is the 3 month one where you get the licenses, revolver and shotty. Just went on a hunt, got my personal best. The slugs on the shotty have surprising range! Where are people finding all these monster mules though for the competition!? I'm not sure if I'll sink any more money into this. Tempted to get the bow and a ground blind maybe. With the ground blind do you just put it there and call and they turn up?

Yea the graphics are really impressive. Surprised me too. I really want the bow :(

They should make a safari type of this game, like big game hunting! Or even better, JURASSIC PARK STYLE!, that would be awesome.

the ground blind and treestand u basically here a call or see a animal beyond the spook distance set them up call animal into range.

be careful though as setting up items can scare animals in the are.

I had a break from bfbc2 last night and thought i would give this a try for a more slow game :)

I found some tracks and was getting close to my kill but then the track when cold and i though aww man 20 min for nothing.

So i sat still for a little bit wishing i would see some thing move but instead i hear deer sound calling and i did not know if it was just ambient back round sound or if it was a proper deer close by.

so i thought what the hell i started tracking by sound using my headphones only lol.

I found bambi 5 min later and shoot that little sod :D

Then i started looking again and found out you can use that device to track the sounds as well :( oh well i did it old school :D.
 
yeah when a animal calls it will register on your pda in left hand. that is for tracking and location.

click the pda either on tracks on floor or animal calls it will give a rough location idea then and where to head. with a call youll get a brief circle pulsing in the area of the call.

if you have that animals caller call it back and wait or carefully track it down. just keep a eye out cause they are sneaky :p

looking at getting a overclockers.co.uk competition with prizes :cool:

few base ideas for comp would be for the comp would be everyone can take part as it would be mule deer only comp which you can hunt on free license and there would be some prizes :)

all people would have to do is dl game for thehunter.com free version is about 718 MB . loads of different mirrors. then enter the comp when its about to start they are going to create our own comp title aswell :cool:

ideas were prizes for placing and a raffle type thing which everyone who got involved in comp can have a chance of winning something.

will put more concrete details down when sorted out

if you have a free license you can use ten bullets then you replace these after use . so if you used them ten add 10 more before starting off .

on paid license you can have up to three packs of bullets for one gun/ weapon.


also hopefully the new bear and server and island should be here in about 4 weeks. the new server will bring a lot more to the plate cant wait.
