Has this got a release date yet?

Also, whats happening to my mobile me account? *I'm preparing to leave so won't check this until I'm home from Denmark*

I'd Love to have it. i Also wanted to Develop my own apps. Was Ready to buy the Developer Account for £59 when i realised you need a MAC to develop apps. Great...

I Really want to have a copy of iOS5 but i Don't Own a MAC soo seems pointless to pay £59 for a BETA iOS.

You don't have a MAC but you want to develop for iOS? There was someone on here activating them but if you ask nicely he may come along and help activate your UDID. There are plenty of sites though that charge very little monies.

Yes i own an iPhone but not a MAC. Don't see what's to stop me from Developing apps on a Windows Environment and Putting them on my Apple iPhone. But the Files needed to create iOS apps are MAC only.

I'm not going to bother now. Think i'm just going to wait for the Public Launch, CBA with a Beta :)

You need an Apple Mac to develop iOS applications. I am hopefully getting a Macbook Air soon as the new ones are released so I can have a dabble.
 
I had my UDID activated by a kind soul on here. :cool:

However, I've installed iTunes beta 2 and iOS beta 2 and when it comes to activating the phone I get:

"Your phone could not be activated because the activation server is unavailable." etc.

Any ideas? This was the case about 10.30am this morning and now again as I reattempt.
 
Quick question, hope its not a silly one hehe

With iOS 5 I see there will be ota updates, does this mean the 20mb cap on 3G will be lifted?

I find it's a pain in the arse this cap :(

I think the OTA updates will only be able to be done over WiFi.

Its been confirmed. Custom text tones IOSBETA5.3

(Update: Not just texts! Looks like you can set custom sounds for just about all alert styles now: new voicemails, new e-mail, sent email, sent tweets, calendar alerts, and reminder alerts.)
