Installed IOS 5 on my original iPad and the restore has all worked.
However I cannot download any new apps or updates from the Ipad itself. It just shows the app icon and 'waiting' and nothing ever happens.

If I download the updates on my Mac then sync it installs them, but not really ideal!
Anyone got any thoughts on this?

You can have that back - sort of - if you really want. It's now called 'add on bar'. Same with the menu bar. Does feel a bit strange but I'm OK with it.

Finally got my iPad2 to sync with iCloud after getting errors all day. Ironically, the way to do it was to connect it to iTunes and change the option that way.

I'm glad I did I restore+update. That's probably why it went flawlessly - no conflicts about who has synced what since the only copy was on the Mac.

If you backup to iCloud how does the non iTunes music get back on the device?

You don't, it will automatically send an imessage or an sms depending on the recipient. If it detects the recipient is using a device running iOS5, it will sent an imessage, otherwise it uses sms.

I like how it syncs the bookmarks - However, I don't use Safari - Is there a way for iCloud to sync with Chrome?

odd, you can do this on the iPhone 4 aswell. Apple site just says via 4S and iPad 2 :confused:

Just trying to get wifi sync to work, but therenis no option in iTunes to allow wifi sync...

Phone has to be connected by USB for the option to show.

You can't do mirroring on a iP4,only iPad2 and iP4S.

That's right you can't do it on iP4 just the s and iPad2. Works very well, something facsinating about seeing your iPad screen on a 42" tv

Bare in mind you don't quite get edge to edge screen etc due to the resolution and aspect ratios, but still very good.

So its just the apple connection > HDMI that is needed? (aprart from it costing an eye watering £35 for something that probably costs ~50p to make

Hmmm, a little confused as I can watch and view my iP4 photos and videos on my HDTV via my ATV2.

One is it games that I wont be able play on my HDTV?

Tip for people who want to put news stand into a folder

Drag two icons together so that it will make a new folder, let go and quickly grab news stand and drag that to the folder. Have to do this whilst the animation for the folder creation is on going. News stand will then drop in there with the other two apps.

However opening news stand within the folder will crash the springboard - no suprise there. To use it again just drag it out of the folder.
