Are there any UK retailers who have Dodocase like cases.. I want one for the air.
Imported dodocase prices are ridiculous.

Personally I don't notice any issue with the screen and it's never crashed once during general browsing.

A particular website did repeatedly crash on my ipad 4. So I don't think there is as much issue with the air as it may seem.
 
I think the app crashing is mostly safari, we get it regularly, rather than a fault with the air. Although that said, browsing the same sites at the same times on the old ipad 2 and the air, the airs safari does crash to tablet top much more frequently.

I think it is a memory limitation or feature, it isn't clearly app memory in the way it should, and thus a hard reset every so often is essential to keep things moving along.
The lack of ram is annoying for app switching or tab switching with most things having to be reloaded when the tab is refreshed.

If its an ipad you want, it is certainly their best model yet, but if it a productivity beast you want, then you shouldn't be looking at tablets anyway.

1) Download VLC from the App Store
2) Copy the address of Putlocker's 'Download File' link.
3) Paste the address into VLC's Open Network Stream address field.
4) Tap 'Open'

EDIT: Not sure what your issue is. Safari will play back the embedded Putfile video in the browser.

I got the 32gb silver iPad from sainsburys on Tuesday for just over £270(staff discount, nectar points etc), I've yet to notice the yellow colour issue but I get browser crashing tho I'm using chrome not safari.
Any recommend/must have apps?
 
I expect mine to be delivered within the next 10 or so days. I did go for the 16GB one, I know this isn't much storage space but I'll just have to watch what type of apps I install.

Hope my unit doesn't have any backlight issues/yellow tinting.

What's the deal with the 1GB of Ram and it being 64bit? Is the lack of 2GB of Ram really an issue from the posts I am reading across the net?

I would love to order one of these's but as I get nearer to the buy button, I hear another owners fault.
 
It's early days yet but since putting ios 7.1 beta 2 on, I've not experienced any Safari crashes to the desktop yet so I'd say its likely to be fixed in the next update.
 
As above try one. Do some web surfing with a few windows open.

I've had an iPad1, still have a 2, 3 and an Air. My thoughts are as follows:
The Air definitely has problems with Stability in Safari and some other apps.
In Safari there are reasonably frequent crashes where Safari just closes for no reason. Sometimes it recovers the page and other times you have to re-enter the address. I had an issue yesterday where the Air hard locked in Safari and I couldn't do anything with it at all. It recovered itself after a few mins.
The biggest irritation for me is the Safari page refresh thing, where you can't have more than 3 (sometimes just 2) tabs open with out each refreshing when you move between them. This reminds me of the original iPad which had similar issues.

I have also had other apps close - very rarely though in honesty.

I'm no expert so I don't know if these issues are lack of RAM or poor software optimisation around 64 bit in ios7.

The interesting thing is when I try to use the iPad3 (which is generally far more stable), it is sluggish in comparison, as expected but I find it much less appealing now due to it's bulk compared to the Air.

I like the Air and I'm sure next year's will be 'perfect' $$$ :D
 
Great little kit but without touch ID is really a shame as I get used to my 5S touch ID now. It is thinner than my new iPad :)

That will be most wonderful, as i get the three/two tabs refreshing rubbish, often when this forum is one of the tabs and email the other, no way the memory should all be used.

Do embedded youtube videos now work, such as those on these forums?
Seems to be anothe wide ranging problem without a current permanent fix.

No. I still have problems with them. Have to open the message in a new window and that sometimes, but not always makes it work.

Really hoping 7.1 gives some reliable fixes.

It's still intermittent. If they don't display, double tapping home and swiping up on safari to close and then reopening safari brings them back for me.

Doesn't that 'lose your place' though? For instance in these forums doesn't it see that as a refresh so you can't see new messages etc?
Opening the individual message in a new window usually works for me.
