Absolutely fantastic Pikmin clone. Was hooked within the first minute and then it was non-stop all the way, couldn't put it down. Took about 10.5 hours to get the 1000/1000 achievement points.

‘Nothing new’ despite quoting two games that brought new engines and multiple game mechanics to their respective franchises. I’ll give you this @Simon0001, your posts certainly have a different take on things.

Not a bad point to make, TBF. I think the lines get blurred because it's a thread about the last game you completed, and most people only go on to complete games they actually like, therefore the "average" review in the thread is likely to be 7 or 8.
The conclusion being: you're a bit of a glutton for punishment.
I am not a huge fan of GTAV either but I’m in the minority there. IV was better as Nico was way more interesting than any of the characters in V.

You say it's average and on paper it may be but yet all you did was say a negative aspect, generally how your post go when it comes to game your happy to constantly spout negative and rarely if anytime anything positive.

Spider man MM. Moved onto it straight after Spider-Man and enjoyed it, they did a good job with new skills and moves and it looks gorgeous but felt a bit more like DLC than standalone. I’d go with a 7.5/10
After almost 100 hours I've finally finished the main story of AC Valhalla. It's not something I normally would have played (never played an Assassin's Creed game before), but I thought I'd give it a go as it was free on Plus Extra.
Solid 8/10 for me and has become one of my favourite games. It's probably a bit too long and repetitive in places but everything else more than makes up for it. Looks stunning too.

Guardians of the Galaxy (xbox gamepass)
Enjoyed this, like being in a movie with all the interaction between the guardians as you progress, only stuff that let it down for me was the combat became repetitive and it started to become a little bit of drag towards the end, the game is about 16-20hrs I think, I felt it could have been trimmed a little, especially the last 2-3 chapters which just seem to go on and on.

AC Odyssey. 7/10. It's more of the same of course, but I found the endings particularly unsatisfying. I also didn't like the fact there was no secondary wheel for the bow abilities, so you could really only have four as opposed to eight of the melee.

The ending is limp isn’t it after all that and it just fizzles out. Strange choice. Did you go with male or female as the character?
Female. I knew she was the better voice actor just from reading stuff ages ago. Also, she is the canon choice which was confirmed in some Valhalla DLC.
Yes limp like oh look there is Atlantis I'm not going to like question it or see if I can go in. I'll just accept that I have to deal it and that's the end.
I know the family side of it is dependant on choices. Mine was pretty bad but even if they were all there, I don't think I'd have been that bothered by it.

Yep she was. Loved her actually and the VA was superb.
Kassandra, the setting/scenery and the ship battles were the highlights for me.
Origins had a better story but even that fizzled out a bit at the end.

I've just finished Steel Rising (33 hours). Very enjoyable if a little rough around the edges but a solid 8/10 from me.
I have picked up the Ultimate edition of Riders Republic for £32 on psn to play next. I have got my eye on my next Soulslike Asterigos: Curse Of The Stars which is out next month it looks like a cross between Fenyx, Kingdoms of Amalur and Dark Souls so should be good (it's only £28 too).
