The last game you completed, and rating (Console Edition)

Dragon Age Veilguard 8/10

I really enjoyed it! Combat was fun, side story’s were good as was over all story.

I believe I got what many would say is good ending

Took me 55hrs and I before I got to point of return I had nothing left on map to do :)

Kingdom come deliverance 2

Really enjoyed this, great cast of characters, dialogue was very good, beautiful open game world.

The backend of the game was a bit of a let down, pretty much on rails, somewhat at odds with the rest of the game.

Finished it with 137 hours on the clock, so much to admire about it.

9/10.

Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered. I don't often replay games I have completed (story, not achievements, can't be arsed chasing that nowadays) but I absolutely love this game. Looked great and plays well except the occasional gfx glitch and stutter that didn't exist before.

The world building amd story is great, though it suffers from the open world game issue of levelling faster than the story ranking, if you do all the side quests/errands as they appear. I found I still can't help ending up using the same weapon combos as before, as I just enjoy certain weapons more.

Red Matter on PSVR2 6/10. I enjoyed it, had some great atmosphere and good puzzles but game was too short, less than 4 hours. I've already got the sequel ready to go.

Atomfall (7/10) - Throughly enjoyed playing through it but found the ending(s) a bit meh. Loved the settings/visuals and how it started off as a adventure opposed to a standard shoot everything that moves.

Farming Simulator 15, lol. - 7/10

Mainly used it as something I could just mess about with in the background while I was watching the snooker. It served it's purpose I suppose.

I'm playing this now but I'm finding the lack of fast travel really really tedious.

It's sort of becoming a deal breaker and has really dampened my outlook on the game to the point I just can't be bothered. Combat is a bit clunky and the inventory management is painful.

I'm enjoying the premise of the game, the setting and finding leads and hidden nooks and crannies, though.

When I've finished Doom Dark Ages, I might try again.

Just finished Split Fiction with the boy, we both absolutely loved it, slightly challenging in places but nothing silly, some of the level design was great, especially toward the end. I enjoyed It Takes Two but this edged it for me. Highly Recommended 10/10!

Just finished the main story of God of war Ragnarok.

Think I prefer the first one. End battles felt like a bit of a let down and the story was so so.

Some moments really did hit hard tho. When the spear was was forged and the bit in the tent at the end.

Just finished Star Wars Tales from the Galaxy's Edge on PSVR2. Enjoyed it but like a lot of VR games it was a bit short, felt game was just getting going and it finished. Would love to play a fully fledged sequel expanding on the game, longer more varied levels, expanded inventory and upgrades, etc.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 - 9.5/10

66hrs played, and had a blast finishing the game at Lv90. If anything my only two complaints are that I wish I could remove UI elements, and that I wish there was a lot more bosses and late game content.

Incredible characters that interact with each other so well, with some of the best VO's I've heard. The story is a bit OTT but quite gripping. I'll certainly be looking at any kind of DLC purchase in future. In the meantime I'm NG+'ing this baby!

Doom Dark Ages. 8/10

Solid.game. It's a good evolution of previous titles but is let down by poor graphics (relatively speaking).

I have enjoyed the new gameplay elements and some of the boss fights have been fun too.

It's been a stable game with no crashes or bugs that I could see.

There are plenty of levels to go at, but for me personally there isn't really anything making me want to replay. I've got all secrets and collectables and I'm not bothered about replaying to achieve level challenges.

I'm hearing the "dong" noise of a successful parry in my head, like a weird ear worm. Lol :p

Sniper Elite Resistance - 6/10

Just felt like an expansion, the new character had horrendous voice acting, like a Brummie trying to be 1940s posh.

Won't be replaying it, so gonna flog it on now.

Finished the first Mafia game. Was great overall. Started 2 and it’s not held up as well as the first. Might carry on not sure. Started Tears of The Kingdom and I’m instantly into it so I think I’ll be here for a while.

Mafia 1, the PC version back in 2002, was the first game I full engaged with and completed, was blown away by the whole thing. Great memories, the story and the characters. Gripping stuff. Definitely need to replay it :)

Lost Odyssey Xbox 360 on Series X - 8/10

It was literally a final fantasy without the name. Played like the old final fantasies, liked the story and the mechanics.

I bought it back when it released but was finishing uni and didnt have time to properly play it and forgot about it.

I played day 1 Final Fantasy 7, 8, 9, X X2 and 13 and this really felt like another FF game and got immersed.

What annoyed me though was the grinding which took an extra 30ish hours and the dlc which i paid less that 1 pound but was essentially one room but 25 floors and too repetitive, but you get some good items.

Valiant Hearts - The Great War - 8/10

Been meaning to play this for years and finally got around to it this last week. The cartoon / art style adds some levity to what is a sobering tale set during World War 1. Gameplay is simple but it is the narrative, interspersed with historical facts, that drives the player forward through the 4 chapters.
If you like story based games, with a strong aesthetic ( and educational element ) then this is recommended.

Last of Us part 1 (PS5 PRO /PS + catalogue)

Just great, graphically it looks brilliant, but I've always thought the game looked great anyway, so not sure why's its needed so many remasters. Now im in a bit of a gaming slump, I wouldn't mind replaying RDR2 or Ghost of Tsushima, but Rdr2 getting a potential upgrade soon, Im holding off, and Yotei is just around the corner as well.
