The last game you completed, and rating.

Cloudpunk 8.5/10.

Rich atmosphere, I was completely immersed. Gameplay is very minimal driving and walking and driving mechanics are not that great but does not get in the way of appreciating the gorgeous visuals of the city. The stories whilst amusing are not exactly ground-breaking or particularly rich.

I did thoroughly enjoy the game though, mostly because the atmosphere allowed me to immerse myself into this world completely and live though those littles stories myself.

Cloudpunk City of Ghosts 8/10.

Interesting improvements, the game looks slightly better, faces are now discernible as opposed to 10 voxels in the original game. I feel like lighting has been improved and it does make the car pop out when flying. So visually the game is even better.

The story is a direct continuation with (as I understand) one's decision in the original game affecting different endings in the DLC (albeit difference is slight). The story itself is amusing but really it's just a continuation of the original game, mostly. You get to jump into the driver's sit for two main protagonists but other than that it is just 10 hours more of Cloudpunk's little vignette stories of individuals in a dystopian future.

The game is the same or slightly better than the original but it did not seem as profound as the original game where the setting and execution was quite fresh, so slight decrease in marks but still a very much enjoyable experience.

Elden Ring. 10/10. I would rate this higher if I could.

The only game I have ever finished and then instantly started again. I adored the last 2 souls games I played as well which were Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3 but I finished them and moved on. Upon finishing it, I popped the new Horizon game into my PS5 but I just kept thinking I could be playing more ER instead and the combat just felt off so I turned it off after 10 minutes and went into NG+.

Lifeless Planet - 7/10.
Fairly old game. Would say its mainly a walking simulator with some light puzzles, clunky mechanics but a good story. Has some glitches where I fell through the ground etc but otherwise it was a good experience. Played through in a single session.

The series is so hit and miss. They're either solid 8.5's or 6's.
Completely. I finished 'New Collossus' last week and it's an 8.5 or aven a 9. The character development is great and vapourising nazi's with the lazerkraftwerk never gets old.

I've now started 'Old Blood' and I'm finding it pretty boring. Not sure I'll play all the way through it.

The Turing Test - 7/10
Puzzles were interesting and at times quite challenging. The story was good with some question marks over the ending. Overall a decent game with really good puzzles. Gave me flashbacks of Portal and Talos principle.

Dark Souls 2: sotfs - thought i would rattle through this before elden ring. I have to say its not as bad as i was expecting. The 3 dlcs do make it a long game now and at the end there were a couple of bosses that i could not be bothered with, dark lurker, ancient dragon but overall enjoyed it 8/10

How long did it take you to finish it? ive been tempted by this, but something made me think it was huge

Thanks, i'm not too fussed about dated graphics if the game it worth playing... i'll check it out.
Wasn't a bad game from my experience either 65-70% mark is probably fair. Quite linier but had an interesting story and they could have done a bit more with it but, IMHO, it's worth playing.

Weird West - Not the type of game that I normally play, but enjoyed it for the most part. The combat was mediocre, but the story got better the longer the game progressed and kept me playing. 7/10

I think i played the first one years back, but lost interest... can i just jump in at 4? or even 5? i'm intrigued by it.
Re: Sniper Elite Series = Yes you can play them in any order. I played 4, then tried 1 which is very old (don't bother), 2 Remastered (which is better than 2 and 3), then 3. Note 3 is still a little clunkey on controls. I have preordered 5. Get 4 cheap and 2 Remastered cheap imho.

Thanks Jenz, i'll do just that.

Edit, sniper elite 4 deluxe, seven quid something on CDkeys, job done

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood 6/10

Nowhere near as good as New Order or Colossus but I played it through to the end. Final boss very disappointing and the whole zombies idea seemed a bit silly.

Started Young Blood now and I’m not that impressed so far.
