The last game you completed, and rating.

I don't really play games that you complete. They are more sandbox games that can replayed for ever but the last game I really enjoyed playing was Victoria 2.

I'd say it easily gets 9/10. Very in-depth mechanics, extremely fun game to play when you are bored and makes you think about your different options in the game.

Spec Ops: The Line

Oh wow, this really got to me! The little changes throughout the game as the guys slide downhill, from the one-liners the characters spout, to their increasingly blooded faces, to the way they execute nearly dead enemies. The story is pretty good although if the moral aspect is meant to feel shades of grey, I thought it was pretty black and white.

The mechanics are a little off, I died a few too many times because Walker didn't want to get into cover, and he seems to die a little too easily on Normal difficulty anyway.

Play for the story and character arc. Certainly not your typical meathead shooter. 9/10

GTA V and I would rate it 8/10 in spite of frequent crashes - but that might have been down to the state of my GPU cooling. Would have rated it higher but since I spent £300 on a new (used) PC just to run it I would have been happier if it had taken me longer than 80 hours.

*edit - brain fart moment and forgot about 3 years of games*

Borderlands 2 - 9/10

Great team game which was good for me at the time as there are 4 of us in a little gaming group so doing the run throughs on this was very enjoyable. Great replay value too

Metal Gear Solid 5 - 6/10

A big waste of time. There's ten to twenty hours of solid gameplay here, padded out to literally 100+ hours by mandatory revisiting of areas you've already beaten.

The story is awful, what little there is is actually contained almost entirely in the trailers.

I bitterly regret playing this to the end; I wasted 150 hours when I should have quit after 20.

Mad Max 1/10. What a truly awful game and a waste of a tenner. It's like someone took the equally bad Far Cry 2, set it in the desert and tarted the graphics up. It's not completed but I just can't bring myself to play it any more as I am sick and fed up with doing the same thing over and over and over.

Far Cry Primal 9/10

First Far Cry I've played much of since Far Cry 2 (I got Far Cry 3 free but only played a little of it)

Great game, I really liked the setting as it made a nice change from either guns or sword and sorcery type games.

I played it for a little over 22 hours and completed all the main quests, about half the side quests, all the village unlocks and about 2/3 of the skill unlocks.

Yeah I only lasted about 3 hours in it. Terrible gane imo.

Although I was initially quite impressed with it, I have to agree (maybe 1/10 is a bit too harsh but I get where you're coming from). It was fun for maybe five hours but then got incredibly stale. There's no sense of impending danger at all and thus no real sense of accomplishment. All you ever do is grind for scrap. The story is not only utterly ridiculous but also practically non-existent, so there's not really much to break up the tediousness of the gameplay. The game's only redeeming qualities are graphics and optimisation ( though this might be an accomplishment in itself, given the times we live in:p)

Thank God I got it cheap.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

Obviously not a PC game but good fun nonetheless. Plays like a decade old game but enjoyable enough.

8/10

Now onto to FC Primal (PC). Expecting good things

Firewatch - Liked the story and atmosphere. Sadly lacking in longevity or replayability. Its a bit like you're running through a really dreary movie where they didn't want to pursue any one plotline too deeply... this makes it sound like I didn't enjoy it. It was quite an endearing game though I just felt they could have done better.
