The Last of Us (HBO, from Creator of Chernobyl) - No game spoilers please

It’s pretty clean from the rules.
This is my point though, lots of stuff is getting edited to include spoiler tags despite it just talking about the episode that's just aired.

It's not a dig, I just think it needs clearing up a little as I didn't think the 24hour rule occurs here due to it being on Sky TV?

Well, after two episodes I had high hopes for this.

Those were pretty much crapped on from a great height with that third episode

Boring and of no consequence to the main narrative. Seriously, a whole episode devoted to that? Just get on with the story.

If I want to watch a gay love story, I'll watch brokeback mountain.

I thought the end of the episode set things up nicely for what is to come, hopefully. But I really don't understand the high praise for the main meat of the episode - it was a competently written human story but nothing special and far too dragged out.

It was an exceptional episode of TV. We loved it in this household. Neither I or my Mrs has played the game so we had no preconceptions and we just loved it. Up there with some of hbos best stuff

Surprised that such a tired, cliche story can be made to work so well, but it really does. It's given life to the old zombie franchise again.
I really hate episodes like 3, but I was glued to the screen.

Reminds me of an episode of Exploration Unknown where the presenter, walking through an old lava tube decked out in boots and hard hat, commented that the rocks that had previously fallen from the ceiling weighed many tons each. The accompanying expert explained that they were wearing helmets only to preserve dental records.

Are we really being asked to spoiler tag game content that the show is urinating all over which is a decade old?

Ep3 seems to be extreme love or extreme dislike depending on the individual so, just to be cantankerous, I thought it was OK 5/10 :)

Loved Hofferman, enjoyed the story and it made sense in context to expand it into something "larger" than the game did but I;'m not sure it needed virtually an entire episode dedicated to it and it kind of recovers the ground that Ellie/Joel should be setting i.e. someone broken finds a new person who brings their humanity back whilst the new person grows stronger than they were before.

Yes, because talking about the game and how it progresses will likely break future unaired episodes of the TV show for those who haven't played the game, so it's the TV show thats being protected by "please don't give away what happens in the game until after it's aired in the TV show" rules.

It's not likely to spoil much given how much they deviated from the game in this episode...

I thought I must have watched something else compared to everyone else praising it to high heaven, a solid 6/10 for me. Tbh, I'm a bit worried they've thrown in a filler episode so early in.

It had no relevance to the main narrative at all. It was there purely to tick the diverse/gay box.

It was overdone and pointless. There are only 6 episodes so we need to focus on the main characters story.

Absolutely - even as an avid gamer (albeit on PC) i've managed to either by accident or design avoid anything major about the story of this show.

Yesterday alone there were 4 posts that alluded to future events and were borderline spoilers. I'm now aware of something coming up i'd prefer not to know, i'm watching this with fresh eyes without any preconception from the game. I've not even been watching future episode trailers as it's been a pleasure to watch and discover all the way so far.
