Yay! I'm feeling quite tempted to do an Uncharted 1-3 playthrough over the next few weeks, to get myself in the mood for TLoU and to hopefully make the time go quicker! Last time I played them all was when U3 was released, I think.
Naughty Dog have said that TLoS will be the first game to allow you to start playing with only 50% downloaded, and it will finish the rest while playing.
Why they have only started this now is beyond me.
I wonder how they're doing it, on the basis that downloaded games on the PS3 have to install. I presume they've split it into two files, the first is the actual game (and 50% of the overall download size) and then it downloads a second file in the background or something.
Doesn't seem to be available (yet) in Europe, no sign of the pre-order on PSN although it'll probably be a silly price anyway.
Screenshot I found of the supposed game settings screen:

If it's real, it's a good sign that you can turn off the extra prompts, Listen Mode, tags etc.
I've seen no more than the very first teaser trailer. Are you jealous?![]()
It does look very technically impressive indeed, seems like they've been building off the back of a lot of the stuff they developed for Uncharted.
I can easily imagine this will end up being the most technically impressive game the PS3 gets.
Continuing my obsession with this game, I see Amazon now have the official hardcover strategy guide (with firefly pendant keyring) and the official art book. I never normally care about extra stuff like this, why am I so tempted now?!
