The Last Of Us

Sorry, what's the difference between the two editions?

And yeah, looks like GOTY :D

There are 4 editions in the UK (I think?):

Standard - What it says on the tin.

Joel Edition - A Joel themed Limited Edition that comes with an artbook, a comic book, a Joel poster, a Joel themed skin for the DS3 controller, 2 DLC packs, and a Joel sackboy skin for Littlebig Planet 2.

Ellie Edition - The same as the Joel edition but with an Ellie theme.

GAME Limited Edition - Like the standard edition but it comes with the 2 DLC packs as far as I'm aware (similar to what GAME tends to do with their "Limited Editions).

Really looking forward to this. Got my new ps3 today and have Uncharted 3 to play through before TLOU is released next week. :D

Read all of the reviews - this game sounds very special.

I want it now. :(

The Polygon review, score aside, doesn't read very well at all. Seems dodgy.

Ah bloody launch-day DLC, how annoying... will have to read up if it's worth paying more for it.

There's no launch DLC I know of.

Seems my edits of my post above lost some of the review links, gotta go pay for my car service + MOT but I'll come back and fix them in a minute. Then actually read some!

What are the DLC codes for then?

I might just pick up a digital copy from PSN for £40 - physical discs are so 2007 :p

Need to find some good deals on PSN credit...

I wasn't sure if this game was going to live up to the hype but it's looking like it might. I'm pretty hype for MP. ND know how to sustain a good community with regular updates. There's also MP DLC incoming.

Are there any plans for OCUK members to clan up for this game?

I have no doubts the single player mode will be great.

My concern is that the MP mode wont offer the same atmosphere/experience found within single player.... It just looks a little too Death Match / Capture the flag for me.

Can anyone confirm whether or not those reviews contain spoilers (or reveal a little too much)?

I've read several (from sites not blocked at work like Forbes, The Guardian, Metro, etc.) and none of them reveal anything beyond what the trailers already show or what a blurb will tell you, so I can't vouch for them all. I'd be weary about reading them though, I'm finding it harder and harder to wait for this game the more I read about it :(

I'm not reading any or watching any review videos just skimming to the conclusions and final scores. Don't want anything spoiled. It's not worth the risk. I want full immersion with no spoilers while playing this.

98 Grand Theft Auto IV
96 Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
96 Batman Arkham City
95 The Last of Us
95 Little BigPlanet
95 Red Dead Redemption
95 Portal 2
94 Bioshock Infinite

I actually own all those games and played them all with exception to the Last of Us and I'd say Uncharted 2 is my fav, then Red Dead then Portal 2. So, this is off to a cracking start IMO.
