40% in to it now and enjoying every minute.

Lol at those who say its impossible without listen mode turned on. Had it off since the start and its made the experience as tense as I thought it would be.

Seriously, turn it off!
 
Trying to walk into a shop to get this game is becoming increasingly hard. Been in sainsburys and they had none, tried currys pc world and they didn't even have any console games let alone a ps3 game???

We have a tiny asda close by but prob no point trying there and we have a big tesco but in another town.
 
I'm enjoying this a fair bit at the moment - it's like Uncharted without most of the bits I didn't like meets HL2 :) I would prefer the game not to be so handholdy, but the story and brutality makes up for that. It can get genuinely tense!
 
Picked this up online for £32 with a free Iphone 4s cover, for those interested in the deal the details are in the bargain section on AV Forums. A few people were a bit worried about the reputability of the site but it seems to be all above board as some have already received their copy, it's all done through paypal so you're covered anyway.
 
Uncharted is the better game, the production value of this makes me eager for next gen uncharted and the like though!

Don't see a need for that listening mode at all...

Don't like how the npc's wander in front of enemies without being seen.

without doubt , I got fairly far without this feature , when I get to doorways and passages I just stop and pan the camera round as far as I can to see if anything is there before I go on.
 
Lost my 5 hour save on normal, so might ramp it up to hard now :) at the moment I'm really enjoying the mp (although it can be infuriating when your team think they're playing COD)
 
my wife picked this up for me for fathers day tomorrow 'from the kids' but im guessing its one i would be best not playing with them around

looking forward to it and although ive read review scores and seen a bit of gameplay footage i have avoided as much in the way of spoilers as possible... got mon-wed off work once i finish tomorrow so i hope to get some time in on it :D

It brakes the illusion a bit i suppose but how annoyedwould we be if they got seen every 5seconds when we, the player, are trying our best to sneak about

Im sure they hadthe discussion and came to this conclusion, or they were a bit lazy but i wonder how it would work hmm
