US: The Leftovers

I loved the orchestral version of "Nothing Else Matters" in the finale, it just fitted perfectly.

They have used some really good music throughout the season and have sent me scrabbling to the interwebs to find out who the artist was on a number of occasions.

Since I don't watch closely was it good people that were taken away and all the naughty people stayed?

Nope, that would've been the 'Rapture' the fundamentalist Christians are expecting - instead it appears completely random. Laurie's unborn child, a sex offender in prison, children of all ages... That's part of the confusion people feel, it makes no sense. Though when you think about it, neither does life anyway - we're all the product of Nature' lottery.

This would've been bad news for people who still actually believed in 'karma'

TBH I'll be amazed if there is actually a believable conclusion to this series LOL :D

aliens

Haha that's believable in the sense that that's what the producers might resort to in the end (they would NEVER use the Lost BS again, wayyy too obvious! Right. RIGHT!?)... :D

OTOH Aliens believable in the context of this story... err... not sure. Maybe they'll go the Falling Skies route and add a new Alien species every season just to prolong the agony LOL... ;)

I found it a bit bizarre that a lot of you are quite fixated on why it happened. can't you just accept that it has. its more about how it affects those who were left behind

Wasnt LOST purgatory? Surely it cant be that again

No, it wasn't.

You find it bizarre? It's the premise of the show. The people who are left behind would be pretty desperate for answers I'd imagine.

If it wasn't for this premise we'd just be watching a show about a quirky town in the US.

Knowing Lindelof they'll ignore the premise of the show and it really will just be a story about a quirky town in the US.

With that being said I did enjoy the finale.
