The Liverpool Club Thread. **No Spoilers**

Poor bugger. Was really hoping we wouldn't be starting the season with Moreno at LB and Mignolet in goal but it's looking more and more likely now. Klopp and the transfer committee need to sort their **** out soon.

We've got so many midfielders now , yet the defence has barely been strengthened at all. It WILL prove our undoing in many matches this season. Our defence is far too weak. As evidenced against Roma lsst night. I'm stunned to be honest that we havent bought a new LB and another CB.

I'm really obviously asking a stupid question, but what is the best way to get a few tickets to watch Liverpool?

I don't mind if we go to a home or away game, and in honesty, I don't mind who we go to watch or when in the season it is.

I want to get ideally 3 tickets (2 adult, 1 for a 14 year old).

Looking on the club site, it seems to almost be impossible to be in a position to get a ticket. Buying club membership at circa £40 seems to give you a better chance, but no guarantee.

Any ideas?

The club sell tickets in batches. All games up until the new year went on sale a little while ago which you needed to be a member to buy (and been to x amount of games last year for certain fixtures). Because the tickets are sold so far ahead, tickets can be returned and they're then put up for sale a couple of weeks or so before the game. How many tickets become available, for how long and whether or not you need to be a member will depend on the game. If it's a big game then few tickets are returned, they go in seconds and you need to be a member, if it's West Brom at home then there's a chance tickets will go onto a general sale but not a certainty. Games which are rearranged for TV, possibly to midweek evenings usually get more returns and more likely to go to a general sale.

If you're not fussed about which game you want to go to then your best bet is the early rounds of the League Cup. Tickets will end up on general sale and they'll probably be a bit cheaper than Premier League games too. Once the draw has been made the club will be ticket details on the site letting you know sale dates. Season tickets and members will take priority still but it's all but certain there would be a general sale.

Thanks for the reply Baz. I'm ashamed to say at 32 I've never made it to Anfield - I managed the FA Cup 3rd Round away to Port Vale when chPaul Ince still played for us !!

It sounds like being a member gives me a chance, but I need to be prep'd and ready to get one.

League Cup sounds like an option then. Thanks :)

If you want 3 tickets you might need 3 memberships if you're going down the members route. A home draw in the League Cup or cross your fingers for a lesser game being moved to midweek and you should be able to get tickets on a general sale.

Oh wow, I thought the membership would enable me to bag a few tickets. Ok, will have to look at the League cup situ.

It seems to me then you almost have to 'luck in' to get a ticket and then you are on the bandwagon.

Not really. If you were a member and you were online when the tickets went on sale you'd have easily got your hands on a fair few tickets. It's only the big games that you need to have built up some credit to get tickets for.

Klopp refusing to answer questions from a *** 'journalist'. Quality, makes you love the man more. Personal reason or over what that **** published, doesn't matter. Brilliant.
