We have a lot of Lotro threads so here's one to rule them a... doh!

Resubbed a month ago. Currently having immense fun in Moria, with my newly aquainted Runekeeper. Also have a Hunter, which was abandoned years ago after becoming stupifyed by Angmar. And also a Minstrel, created a few days ago.

Server: Snowbourn.

Linfelior Bashere. Level 60 Runekeeper.

Failrien Bashere. Level 45 Hunter.

Reet Kandu. Level 25 Minstrel.

Im back on LOTRO and have rerolled on Laurelin.

Have all the old crew moved over?

Hi Guys,

Just wondering if somebody can answer, im currently into the 14-day trial at the moment and decided to go ahead and try it for longer - i've seen the game online to buy for £12 which comes with 30days play...and i've seen an offer on the 60-day timecards, 2 for £25.

I've downloaded the 9.6GB MoM client, do i need to buy the game still or can i just use the timecards instead?

I think you still have to buy it considering the publishers advertise buy and download the direct game from us, cheapest by far is ordering box online though.
 
Yep, it still needs a retail key to activate it. I think someone found it for a tenner online a while back, including the mines of moria.
 
A well known online game store has The Lord of the Rings Online: Mines of Moria Compilation Pack for £9.99

Would that be all I need to get started?

I'm looking at getting into a new MMO, WAR is too buggy and has annoyed me too much despite having many level 40 chars on there, Conan has lost its charm... don't get me started on WOW :p

Ah thanks guys, ordered it last night for £11.99 (didnt notice the other place!).

I've also seen the 60-day cards for £11.99 at a popular jersey e-tailer, do these work fine? As i read some people were having trouble with timecards for other games such as WoW, AoC etc.

if you like MMo's and found the above annoying then i reckon Lotro will be fine for you.

it has the Epic story line, vast regions to explore with lush graphics and the community is extremely helpful.

buy that edition as you get SoA and MoM meaning you have everything needed from the off... gluck

i will add everyone on Laurelin to my friends list today.
 
Just started my trial, jumping the gun a little i supose, as im only level 5 but ive had no movement in my pants yet.

im on Laurelin, gonna try and get into it, any advice in game would be great

dunno how to speak with you eefek, added you as a friend but it says something about being on the same.......something
