The Man-Cave

That's a good point.

Expect it could get quite warm in there in the summer months, good job your're installing air con.

yeah Good Air Con to.. should been close to a 1000 pound for aircon. got it cheaper :)

but it was hot the other day and the Insulation board was hot but the room was very cool. so that 70mm or 3" of insulation in roof & Ceiling as well as the air void between roof & insulation is helping it keep warm & cool:D

A few things I would consider.
1. security, someone is bound to try getting in.
2. wooden flooring to go with the rest.

It's looking good so far.

Your yard must be big to have that plus a lot of space left over.

Too bad I don't have the space or the money, HAHA.

Bare wood,

was going to board it, but wood expands & after talking with the Manufacturer (met the builders in person as I went to their factory, cut out the middle man) he said it can expand up to an inch in a year.

so if I board it all and it expands by a inch there be gaps appearing or cracked boards. so bare wood. & got admit it looks cool

kind of want to look like a cabin in the woods like American films now :D

It's looking good mate yh i was thinking the bare wood would look really good and natural.
Tbh it would take the concept of having a getaway away from the whole idea

had some family helping during the week.

Ceiling is Up & painted with spotlight holes
Floor is almost put down (another few hours tomorrow that be finished)
they managed what I asked. so all the join are in the same place on every other board like:

Bury the power cables soon :)
cabin-1.jpg

Jeebus mate: I hope you protect them or bury them deep. Like that they're just asking for a fatal encounter with a spade. Disconnect one end and pull them through some protective piping. And include some drawstrings so you can pull other cables (like network) through.

you do realise, these are armoured cables? spade does nothing to them i've tried on some spare :D

though it will be lot deeper don't worry :)

Where did you get the armoured cables from? Bought them yourself or got an electrician to supply and fit them? Looks like we might be getting a new shed and I desperately want to get mains and network cables to it so I can move my servers into it and get some space back in my room.

Are you going to bury the cables in some kind of underground trunking?
