DDG was the only one to speak in front of the camera last night. Slabhead hiding away. Strip the captaincy from him as soon as possible.

He looks devoid of confidence for sure - that can't be good as club captain. Looking around - who do you give it to instead??

Ronaldo would "expect" it - but unlikely to be here next year
De Gea - Probably would be the "obvious" choice as I don't see him leaving with the wages he's on.

No other obvious leaders out there for me currently....

Bruno or DDG. Varane would be an infinite better leader than Maguire.

Lindelof has done nothing wrong apart from the fact he didn't cost 80 million which is the only reason I can think of as to why Maguire is still being picked.

Not Bruno, he's not setting a good example at the moment by constantly whinging and losing it with officials.

I wouldn't mind McSauce as captain tbh, although his place in the side is a bit precarious if we actually hire some midfield players.

Sancho is a bit too fresh in the side....but probably the only player consistently delivering at the moment.

What is sancho delivering?

A captain needs to be a vocal consistent first team starter.

I don't think sancho hits 2 out of those 3.

Sancho settling in and improving has been one of the tiny crumbs of comfort from recent performances. Always puts in a shift.

Bruno has been stinking out the place all season, acting like a petulant child, absolutely bonkers to suggest him as captain.

Nick doesn't like sancho never gave him a chance really

Yeah, he was alright at times too, then we offloaded him onto Everton i think.

He was alright at his best. Never cemented his place in the team when there wasn't that much competition.

When you put it all together, the Glazers ownership has been a complete disaster....for the club. When you see it all put together like this it borderline makes you want to stop supporting the club.

Sums it up perfectly this is what happens when you put bankers in charge of football decisions they don't see football just money how much will that player make us not how good will he make us

It's not that I don't like him from a personal perspective.

It's just that players like Raphinha who cost less than 1/3 of Sancho's fee scored nearly twice as many goals as Sancho this season.
If we are talking PL goals which we should be its 3 times as many in a team nowhere near as good fighting relegation...

Saw United linked with Dybala today...typical united signing...would be a silly signing so its almost guaranteed.

Ticks quite a lot of boxes.

Probably doesn't want to come
Luxury player
Would be on massive wages
Doesn't address our core issues
Never seems that hard working

I'm sure I'm missing some other positives but those should be enough to get him signed.

Sounds like May 2005 all over again.

Wayne Rooney for the job if he doesn't go down the M62, LOL.

Off thread quite a bit but I saw an item in a paper where Rooney said that he used to pick Carlos Tevez up and take him to the airport for some away games when they were both at Man. U.
He said that he couldn’t understand a word that Tevez said and that it drove him nuts.
I thought, “Christ, most people outside of Liverpool can’t understand much of what you say.”
