If no one has DVB in their starting 11 and both Eriksen and Bruno are ahead of him, why does he continue to stick around at a point in his career he should be striving for first team football.

I think you are underestimating the 5 sub rule which is going to be a gamechanger in the Premier league. It greatly effected our season during the pandemic restart and we went from 6th to 3rd. To be able to change half your outfield players is going to be a gamechanger compared to before. The lower teams will just not be able to cope against the larger squads.

I can remember a few times Ole subbed 5 players when we were down and out and we overcome them due to the other team unable to match quality of subs.

That's fine if DVB sees himself as a squad player or an impact sub. My point was more directed to the fact he's probably not a starter and if you're comfortable with that at that point of your career. Obviously no one knows that apart from DVB himself and those at the club.

As previously mentioned no one knows exactly what ETH is thinking and what's being said behind closed doors.

This is what people are suggesting is the reason City have bought the likes of Kalvin Phillips and 2 forwards to replace Sterling. City will literally have 5+ players that are first XI standard ready to completely overwhelm teams when their legs are tired.

They havent bought two to replace Sterling unless ive missed someone. Jesus has gone aswell.

Lots of MUFC gossip on Sky Sports this morning, Henderson moaning about last season and also talk of dressing room drama. The latter being on the channel but I can't see anything online.

Amateur hour.

What was he moaning about.

What was he moaning about.

Seems to be he was told he'd be first choice but then didn't get any game time. Seems a bit nonsensical. DDG was one of our better players and you can't expect to play if you're not performing better, whatever you're told.

He can moan all he likes, but the reality is when he had the chance, he wasn't good enough to displace De Gea.

Yeah, he comes across as cut from the same cloth as Pickford. Thinks hes billy big ******** and that screaming at his teammates when they have the audacity to allow the ball into his area makes him a good keeper. Not anything like as good as DDG in most areas and perhaps has slightly better distribution and is a bit better at dealing with crosses.

Hes also competing with a guy earning insane wages that we can't offload so he was always fighting a losing battle there.

There was a point when Henderson was looking like the number 1. Then he got sick and De Gea came back into the fold and went back to being a beast again.

People liked the idea of Henderson being nearly as good as DDG but without his weaknesses. The reality is that he was quite a way off DDG in shot stopping and only very marginally better in some other areas. It was only DDG being off form that gave him a sniff.

Ten Hag, quite rightly, calling out Ronaldo and Dalot for leaving the game early.

Laying down the law and stopping these strops/lack of togetherness.

Rumour has it he was one of the players that was leaking things to the press last season as well - spoilt brat, spitting his dummy out.
He is nowhere near the level of DDG.

Season has rolled round quickly but can't say I'm filled with much hope. Our club is still a mess. Apparently Martial is injured for Sunday and if Ten Hag had any nuts he'd play Garnacho ahead of Ronaldo. If Ronaldo has asked to leave I'd pay his flight to whoever wants him. We need a clean break from this nonsense even if it makes the team weaker in the short term. Sick of indulging players who don't want to play for the shirt. Hrrrumph
