Finished watching the interview. I actually feel sorry for him, he's had a difficult year and he's clearly struggling with things. He should have left in the summer and that would have avoided these issues.

I think he went too far criticizing ETH as he did, ETH gave him a fair crack and he didn't perform.

Can't see him coming back - onwards and upwards...
 
I see someone who is basically having a bit of a mental breakdown who really needs support but is getting taken advantage of.

Everything pretty much rides on his performance at the world cup now for him to come out from this with any glimmer of hope.

He's not getting taken advantage of at all. His media team will have discussed everything about that interview beforehand. Everything there is exactly the way he wanted it to happen.

Honestly my respect for him has dropped off even more. He comes across as a complete idiot. He still thinks him leaving during the Spurs game was justified and the suspension was wrong.

He will not be setting foot in Carrington again. He came across as a self entitled brat, just like he called the youth players' of clubs around the world. He is in denial, age caught up with him over the summer, the loss of his child, he needs help, its all too much for him, hell, it would be too much for me and I am just a regular pleb. He wont perform at the world cup.

it's sad really.

It is almost Britney Spears esque as in she is completely in this bubble without any sanity or reasoning to guide and help her. He is his own person and true friends for him are most likely impossible to find. He doesn't have that father figure to guide him. He even admitted he has not spoken to SAF in over a month who must be heart broken himself.

Like the old saying goes true friends will tell you the things you do not want to hear. (Rooney for example) whereas the fake ones like Piers are just in it for themselves.

I was actually surprised by Ronaldo's poor grasp of English as he was in England for 6 years. You could clearly see it was difficult to understand what Piers was asking him in some instances which has basically played into Piers lap to form his own agenda.

This could have quite easily have been solved with a 1 2 1 with ETH behind closed doors and you never know we might have seen a different Ronaldo.

Did you actually look at what he said? He was remarkably nice about it. Today he was even asked again and was still nice about it. Meanwhile Ronaldo attacked him, attacked his looks, claims he hates him because he has less money and instagram followers and called him a rat. Imagine thinking Rooney is in the wrong here.

if he was his mate he'd be speaking with him privately, not via the media.

Hopefully fine him a couple weeks wages in the process. The level of disrespect is staggering. Can't wait to see the back of him, team better without him around.
 
Several journalists reporting we're taking legal action to try and terminate his contract. Apparently he's also been informed he is not to return to Carrington after the world cup
 
rightly so too.

ronaldo going to need some counselling its obviously hitting him hard having to hang his boots up at top level which is totally understandable.

No fan would want a player who doesn't want to stay to actually play. It means that player's heart is not in it and it will reflect in his performance which will mean it is bad for the team.

The stats and results this year for both Ronaldo's own and the team's when he is playing shows that to be true. Therefore, he needs to go.
