The Manchester United Club Thread **Sponsored by Comedy Central**

That thread title hurts so much :(

very harsh title... a bit ridiculous really.

Aside from that - I just don't see why people are calling for Ten Hag to go.... It's ridiculous. Pay him off for another £15 million, bring in another manager and pay £15 million for whoever, how does that solve the issues at United. Ten Hag is a good manager.

Injuries are crippling us at the moment, The owners are just AFK, literally saying and doing nothing. Old Trafford is in desperate need of some running repairs/new stadium etc. It was once a magnificent stadium but it's now just looking very old, sad and way behind the times.

The players need a long hard look at themselves.... Some of them are a disgrace at the moment. Suck it up, get on with it and stop whining and moaning on the pitch.

Pretty much one of the only clubs in Europe with a Sporting Director......

Recruitment has been a shambles for a number of years now.
  • Martial with 89 goals in 9 seasons at United and he's still there.... Shambolic
  • Mount - looks utterly lost - was never a big fan of his, too light weight for me and just doesn't bring anything to the team at the moment.
  • Sancho situation - another mess
  • Evans back as your CB at 35 years old.
  • Rashford back to his sulking best - looks totally uninterested.
Club is a total state from top to bottom at the moment. No desire, no passion, no commitment, I thought Sundays loss to City was a low point, but last night was even worse.

saw this on the bbc website......thought it quite apt.

Anon: Martial has survived Louis Van Gaal, Giggs, Mourinho, Ole, Michael Carrick, Ralf Ragnick and now will probably survive Ten Hag. And he is playing up top for us as a number nine. Tells you everything about football operations at the club.

no, you don't see. no one is blaming an individual but simply using him as example of what is wrong at the club.
So you'd rather we pay him to leave and bring in someone like Weghorst as backup? Would that improve us? **** me of all the complaints to make about the club our backup striker is not one of them.

I supported Martial for ages, always thought he'd come good but he's not good enough, and I blame us for that as I think he genuinely could have been a hell of a player. But like most young players that come to United or come through the ranks in the last 10 years, we just ruin them and stifle any kind of development

Your missing the point - It's the recruitment over the last number of years is shambolic....Martial is symbolic of that. He as a person is not the issue.

We shouldn't have a striker who's only scored 89 goals in 9 years at the club and still be relying on him as our "main" backup.....

United have been crying out for a world class/top class striker for years now, 5 years plus at least - Where is that individual?? Other clubs seem to find and nurture talent, good quality strikers brought in.... United just do nothing.....

All the "blame" getting thrown at Hojlund already for not scoring in premiership etc is just ridiculous - 7 games in, he's 20 years old, playing a terrible team at the moment - give the guy a chance.

His body is just done, I doubt he'll ever recover. He still shows glimpses of the quality but it's clear he has to really carefully manage his game to even stay fit now.

So you wanted us to pay Martial off and bring in a world class striker (I assume Kane) and then go into the season with one striker and no other signings?
