Apparently United are having discussions with Varane and Martial, can’t believe we’re contemplating offering Martial a new deal. :(
Triggering a 2+1 deal for one player doesn't mean they will do the same for Martial. Probably getting him a wheelchair ready to wheel him out the door, considering no other member of the backroom see to know where that door is.

Random one but sat here this morning and read something and remembered that we spent £55 million on Mount, who's played 8 games and seems to have disappeared from existence....

I know he's been injured but again, just another utterly bang average player that United paid at least twice his actual value to buy.....

Shambles

He hardly plays. Appearance stats are worthless when so many of them are cameos, 10-15 mins at the end of a match are not comparable to say Bruno starting and finishing almost every game for season upon season.

I love how the media twist things.

Media ask ETH about contract extensions for Varane and Martial. He isn't going to say yeah we are not going bother with either let them play then bugger off is he?

This apparently automatically means they are staying according to the media...

What a silly statement, the list of 'bang average' players to win the CL is huge

At least that list is offset by GOAT's like this:

I could not work out why Donny van der Beek did not fit in. He looked like a very good player when he was at Ajax

Because, like so many players United have bought over the past 10 or so years, they are completely the wrong sort of players for United. You could stick peak Iniesta or Xavi in the United teams from the past decade and people would be asking why they look crap.

Ajax are a team that play a certain way and players who fit in that system thrive in it but they are often going to struggle in a team that doesn't play "pass and move" football. We've had the same problems with Dortmund players as well.

Imagine going from a team where you know where your next 4 passes could go to turning up at United where you look up and see one crap option. Where you have a pass on half the time and then the other half of the time you are having to take a few seconds to work out where the hell your teammates actually are. Look at all the best teams and you will see that the players aren't dithering on the ball trying to work out what happens next, they already know.

This is also the reason Bruno has been good for us. He doesn't hold onto the ball but he is constantly making low percentage, high potential outcome passes which disguise the fact we don't really do build up play very well. Unfortunately you are then between a rock and a hard place because the guy creating most of your chances and whos at the heart of all your goals is also a big part of the reason you rarely have any control of the game and constantly lose possession.

Wonder what's going to happen with Rashford, second time he's done it this season

You could almost forgive him if his form was good, but when you're playing like crap every week on the contract he's on, and you're lying to your club and calling in sick when you're actually hungover...

He's the golden boy so he'll get nothing more than a slap on the wrist and a meaningless fine but he should be left to sit in the reserves for a while. Not like we'd miss him this season...

Hard to bench a player on 325k a week. Another bad apple that utd should look to get rid
