The Manchester United Club Thread **Sponsored by Comedy Central**

The problem these days is almost everyone is carrying around a video camera in their pocket, so if you out caning it and then call in sick to training it's never going to look good. I mean, 30+ years ago you obviously had the press following people around but imagine the stuff that went on back then but never saw the light of day because there wasn't some random private individual filming it on their phone and selling it to the press for £200.

Phones have had cameras for 20 plus years, its nothing new. If a player is stupid enough to go on the lash and then call in ill with a hangover he either doesn't give 2 ***** about the club or more likely, doesnt respect the manager and knows ten hag is on his way out. Either one is pretty damning.

The problem isn't that he was out on the last, the problem is that hes playing like absolute *****, doesn't look interested and is going out on the lash.

Managers will put up with a fair bit of crap from players if they are performing. They won't put up with it when their nan could put in a better shift than you are currently.

Fingers crossed but apparently EtH has said "its very bad". Don't know if he was talking in general terms about losing Martinez at all or the actual injury.

Please, please...PLEASE not be bad. He's been absolutely immense for us since coming back, not only in his performances but the way he encourages every little thing and gets the players going. He should be our captain all day if he can stay fit

A fit and firing Martinez is honestly probably the most important player in the team. He shouldn't be but he is. Our other options at CB completely change the way we play and we aren't exactly a highly functional team. He kind of tips the balance into us being a decent team instead of just a bit ****.

We've been so unlucky with injuries to key players this season. We've managed 2 games with our first eleven available, it's just ridiculous.

It is so bloody annoying. 7 goals in 2 games against two teams in the top half of the table. Start to see a little bit of light and a key players gets injured. :(

As said, a big loss not having Martinez in the team. Maguire has gone backwards with his performance level, mistakes creeping back into his game.
Shaw could have been an option, but AWB is injured which leaves us a bit short at the back.

It is Malacia we need back so Shaw can deputise at LCB with Varane on the right hand side.

The mighty J Lingz has ended up in the K-league. Apparently he had loads of options and offers from clubs around the world since he became a free agent. Somehow I don't think they were good offers if this is where he ended up.
