not sure how it relates to the managers authority? some players made the request for a day off and it was refused without even involving ETH from what i understand.

It's mainly the players, but given the dire performance on Saturday, they've got some serious nerve.

Yeah I thought it was pretty standard fare to be dragged into training after a poor performance.
yea, even if it's just a 'post mortem' training session and no extra trainging, if you've played **** you can't expect the next day off. but that it was even requested shows the kind of issues at the club.

Yep it's the moneymaker.

We win - 100 articles saying we're back
We lose - 100 articles rehashing the same random players/manager links and how ETH is the devil and Sancho did nothing wrong.

Pretty much means it has to be Dalot - Kambwala - Evans - Lindelof. Only 4 defenders we have and one is a kid.

I still think Fernandes will play, this would be the first club game he's ever missed with injury!

I'm fed up with this guy. I mean seriously, you are paid a fortune and can't be bothered to even run around and make an effort. Then he comes out playing the sympathy card. Boo hoo.

Pathetic.

Bless him, if he was scoring goals or even playing well no one would give a monkeys he can go to Ireland every week if he wants. Got to perform!

He could also move away, if he played for say, Brighton, he’d get away with it as well.

He wouldn't even have to be playing well. He literally just needs to look like he is working for the team. You can swan around and pick your moments to shine when those moments are winning games. When you're not scoring goals as a forward you had better be working your socks off to try.

He doesn't seem to understand that. Fans aren't ****** off because he isn't delivering goals, they are ****** off because he looks like he doesn't give a **** and isn't even doing the basics expected of a professional, let alone someone on his wages.

I’ve just seen the clips of his ‘pressing’, damn, no wonder you lot are annoyed! Don’t blame you at all.

Putting a shift in is the absolute minimum. Hardworking fans are paying good money for these lot to be multi millionaires. It’s amazing how many players just don’t get it, even more so the English lads, even even more so when they are local boys. There’s no excuse. I feel football fans, especially in the north, can forgive lack of form and even a lack of talent. They can’t forgive a lack of effort and they shouldn’t be expected to, whatever the circumstances.

You'd think he would have learnt from Ravel, Jesse, Jaden and Paul that have come and gone before him!

Exactly he has learnt off them bad habits as acceptable behaviour and now it is a rot that has gotten hold of the club.

People underestimate just how important work ethic is between peers and that goes throughout business not just football.

I find the whole Rashford stuff a bit mad. At various points he's been hyped up by sections of the Utd support as the best thing since sliced bread and then he's the biggest disgrace to have ever played for the club (I'm exaggerating obviously) when in fact he's neither. Comparing him to the likes of Lingard, Pogba and Ravel Morrison(!) is ridiculous. Yes he might not be the absolute model pro but he's nothing like Lingard or Pogba and certainly not Morrison - he was too busy getting arrested to play football. The maddest thing about this is the way he regularly has the school meals campaign used as a stick to beat him with as if it has any impact on his performance on the pitch.
