Now there's a link to an article from earlier this month but has been 'updated' today, it's made it to the front page, not just the sports page:Controversy and polarisation sells more than anything. Its all about engagement. On youtube people intentionally talk crap and make mistakes just to get all the people in the comments coming in and "correcting" them to feel smug. Algorithm sees engagement and voila, your videos do even better.
United had so many years of being at the top table that United have a huge fan base and then a huge base of fans who hate them. Any article on United will get both sides involved and arguing.
Go read any article on the BBC and there will be hundreds of comments complaining about how they don't want to see United articles, how United don't matter. How this is the 10th article today about United and they are sick of it. So sick of it all that they took their time to read it and comment on it...
